my mrs has a mk2 one and her sis a mk3 one, nice refined engine for about town however doesnt have the power to warrant the terrible fuel consumption, the mk2 does 38mpg on a decent run, the same as my 172 and the mk3 is worse. if your coming from something quick, go for something cheap to run...

my ph1 is only 12mpg off what my DCi does!! mk3s are fukin tanks!!!

fuking lol, as said 17s would look good on it. all you needed for megane RS wheels was a set of wheel adators, same idea as fitting 197 wheels to a non RS Clio...

initiale is the top spec, better spec than the 182 in many ways! dynamiques also came with rare optional extras such as xenons, colour sat nav, ESP, cruise control, 6 disc changers, cabasse head unit, climate control and electric sunroof. 1.2s are cheap and cheerful but not very good to...

some 15" OZ F1 cups from a mk1 172, 60mm apex springs, dual optic headlights and anything else that takes ur fancy would soon sort it out!

changing the alternator on my 172 this week, so assuming i need a new belt, what about tensioner? just do the full lot?

i paid £2600 3rd party at 18 on my 172, was worth every penny and id do it again.

172 originals are these ones... your thinking of 182 wheels welcome hope you enjoy the car, wont be as quick but will be just as fun and a lot cheaper to run!!

not really iirc ECU was changed too, of course its possible but in reality not really. as ali said, pre 04 engines are plagued with issues. i blew one up lol

slow and rubbish on fuel it was more popular than the diesel as it was about £1k cheaper when new.

id go 1.5dci wouldnt bother with any petrol non sports

isnt there an issue with 182s having issues on full lock due to 205 width tyres?

they are the better choice, noticeable or not who knows, the 172 cup had different dampers too (although looked the same and are interchangeable with a 172) they were slightly stiffer and lower

both look pretty much identical do they not? why tell lol however, after doing quite a few miles in a 1.6 16v they are slow and boring would be ok if they had a decent rev range on them.

shed, colour match on front bumper is off, no trophy decals, fog surrounds look pish as do black wheels, mirrors and door badges and also its got no arch liners.
