unfortunately I genuinely have no idea, all the carbon i have on the car has been acquired used via the classified on here of fakebook groups, so what company actually made them I do not know!
cheers @OneTime_ it's got a bit out of hand really, carbon everywhere and maybe a little too much for some, but keeps me interested in the car after 7.5 years :) i just love to tinker!
yours is looking clean to, lovely!
Old versus new, the carbon insert is a full direct replacement for the original, so this is why the bumper needs removing. The clips holding the old one in are seriously heavy duty really for what it is and need to be popped out from the rear with the foam padding removed.
The exhaust trims...
So whilst the car was up in the air for the rear brakes, thought I'd take the opportunity to whip the rear bumper off, clean everything up and fit the carbon insert and exhaust trims I have had in the shed since last Autumn.
Bumper off
Arch liners out and cleaned up
Old trims removed...
Took the opportunity today to strip, clean and re-grease the rear brakes as one calliper was binding slightly and it's another job i like to do once a year. The rears on the Clio's have been a weak spot, the calliper design harks right back to the R5's i think, so 80's design really.
So rear...
The mk2's are on the up for that reason though, people want to come back as they're kicking themselves for selling up in the first place. Plus they're all 15+ years old now so far fewer left to choose from
Pop over to the clio 1.8 16v facebook groups, some of the lads over there are decent on the spliced loom approach to the converison
i'll be of little use as mines a full mk2 loom transplant, full car
Dan's should and search mine 'Trophy Red Mk1' for what used to be Danny's supercharged project as that's now my trackcar and very much alive and kicking
Matt's is still with him too, currently having ecu and wiring sorted to be back out this year for a trackday @Zmaster2k
@White16valver yeah died matey after previous owner didn't pay hosting. Site was deleted and lost about last 6 years from previous backup before host change. As such basically write off and we all moved to Facebook group instead. Not the same though, forums work better imo by miles
Painted the shields with thier mods and little riveted on brackets and then mocked up both sides. New studs showed up too.
So I know I've got all the parts refurbished and everything there now so jobs a good un.
Blowtorch at the ready for the weekend

Brackets made up and riveted on...
you'll need to cut the caliper mounting bracket off and then either bash the stub out the beam or yeah chop it off flush with an angle grinder. that's my backup plan too if it all goes wrong. however you'll still need to get the torx bolts out to retap and reuse the bolt holes to mount the 172...
no worries @Macphail
any questions you have, whichever thread you post in just tag me with an '@' and i'll do my best assist.
