Yeah definitely, different strokes for different folks I guess. Regularly commute 130 miles to Welwyn Garden from Derbyshire in mine, no issues. Spent a lot of time and effort though sorting the right mods to make it relatively quiet, refined and comfortable for daily use.

Not much to report again, just cranking the daily use still. Had two baths in two weekends now, never been so clean!

Few more changes, wound the coilovers down another 10mm up front to get her sitting correctly. Then refitted the minidisc 💽 head unit, with the connects2 so now the column control works which is nice. Fitted some 182 rear speakers as they were in shed and the original 172 ones were knackered...

The dash inserts are different, 172 are carbon effect iirc, 182 are plain silver

The drip trays are a mk1 Clio part, revision of the earlier R5 ones. RPD still sell them

Mk2 late model make great commute cars where I live, quiet a roads and b road options for spirited detours. Hence I've run mine for 7 years now every day. Mk3 I have no real experience of but to me it's just a more expensive way of achieving same thing.

Yeah that's it, think there are couple of holes you can use, I secured bar to those with nut top and bottom iirc. Fitted it like 5 years ago for the odyssey battery, only recently popped lithium one on and it fitted to same mount fine. Can check tomorrow exactly what I did if you need

I still run the 200 badge alone over the clio badge holes on the offside, but i'm outdated too and so is the car so 🤷‍♂️
