just give the torx heads a few hard whacks with a hammer and the shock should loosen it, if that fails heat it, when its heated (and expanded) they seem easyer to get out when it cools, thats what i had to do for mine

a decent exhaust makes the car sound better and along with a decent filter it will make the car breath easyer making throttle response a bit better, theres more to it than just BHP! these mods will make the car better to drive and make it "feel" a good bit faster (the noise helps!) on these...

because its marketing, they all pull figures out their ass to sell them, theres no way on any N/A clio your going to get 10bhp from a "chip" full exhaust, decent filter and remap will get 10bhp on a 172/182 if your lucky! not a 1.4!

i use the halfords special super dooper ones! £45 i think they cost, they do cheaper ones for arround £35 tho i think. the one i have has a 4yr warranty too im sure!

chip or remap will give 2-3bhp, on a modded engine it will make more use of ur mods and the above mods will give 10bhp MAX

Both my rear dampers are leaking on my 172 (one leaking a bit more than the other!) so need to replace them this week, but was wondering if the 172 cup rear dampers were uprated over the standard 172 ones (i know the fronts are but wasnt sure if they changed the rears or just stuck with the same...

full exhaust inc manifold, filter and remap (or chip) will gain you 5-10bhp max! if that!

If thats 4.5k id be seriously worryed about your brakes! ive done nearly twice that before with green stuff pads and very heavy use and not had a single bit of a lip!

bedding in brakes hard wont do any harm if done properly, just dont go from 80mph to 0 and keep the brakes pressed!

Renault do a cambelt kit for it, get that but also do the water pump as they start to leak if not changed!

im actually considering sticking a dynamique one on mine as im fed up of the rubber grip bits coming apart!

i use green stuff on my cars and do 5 or 6 30 to 10mph runs then maby another 5 80-10/20mph runs to bed them in. just keep moving when doing it dont do 30-0mph hard stops or 80-0mph stops
