Polishing the inlet manifold has no effect on the health of the car. But if your doing it by hand it will take you a while. So far I've been going at it for 18 months, with varying levels of enthusiasm.

the wheel size is irrelevant really, low tyre profile will cause a rough ride. Normally anything less then a 45 profile will give a slightly harsher ride.

Having been down that road and done it, I'm on the look out for a change. Everyone raves on about stiff coilovers and good handling, when in reality stiff coilovers means you can't drive over uneven roads at any kind of speed.
