worst thing you can do, if or most likely when the bolt shears at the weld and you're left with a load of manky weld you're pretty much stuffed for drilling though it. had a car in where they tried this and made a pigs ear out of it...

early scirrocco rad and you can fit two 13" (possibly 12" but can't remember) fans on the back.
will be fine with just one if you want though, for competition bigger power stuff i throw two on but never had any issues with overheating with one.

Get everything checked first BEFORE you get the tracking done, have seen plenty of cars that he e had tracking done with knocked ball joints, tre's, rods, bearings etc.
Minimal copper slip on bolts, I tend to brush a bit on and then try to brush as much as possible back off so you ha e the thinnest coating as possible.

why do people think it's hard to get bodies balanced? as long as they aren't worn then it's a doddle to set them up.
also they need to be set up properly with any management.
