Not sure if this in the right place or not, but here goes. Was out earlier and pulled up along side a guy in a valver on 19's, there was cars in front of us so we couldnt burn it off the lights, but once we got in front we both booted it, and well, he couldnt seem to shake me. Couldnt...
I live all of 10 minutes from where it happend and I know that corner liek the back of my hand, to have lost control on it she must have been going ridiculous speeds, by that I mean 80mph+ As far as I'm aware they all came out of it ok, just hope the they've learnt there lesson!
VAG = VW Audi Group as said above. Obviously this now includes Seat and Skoda. When people mention the VAG in reference to engine swaps they mean the 1.8 20vT engine that comes in the likes of the Golf GTi, Ibiza Cupra, Leon Cupra, Audi TT etc. As CDC182 said MattBlack had one running 401bhp...
Debz, have you considered Eibach? Very good springs, and definately not a bone jarring ride. Eibach pro's lowered my 1.6 around 30/35mm. From what you have said they are probably the best ones for you. Can always match them up to koni or eibach dampers later on aswell.
taking out a £14k loan and spending £8k of that on mods is stupid imo! If you want a faster car fine, take out the loan and buy a faster car, the car will only loose value slightly quicker than you are paying off the loan, spending it on mods will mean you piss away the £8k, you'll never get...
looking good. Take it your either going to turbo a valver engine or use the VAG 1.8 20vT? If i was you, I'd go vag engine :D Car looks good tho, shame about the max power model, lol
a renault clio 1.6 8v with an induction kit? If so which induction kit have you got? I cant seem to find one anyhwere that will fit :( I'd prefer a sealed/semi-sealed kit if at all possible!
right just been and had a look and it appears to be leaking by the manifold. The pipe from the bottle comrs down out the bottle and splits into 2 pipes by the rad, one goes right and to the rad, the other goes left towards the manifold, and its the one that goes left thats leaking. Does that...
and cambelt??? fuckety f**k f**k! I definately have a leak coz i've just been out and its now dropped down really qucikly :( Just hope its a split pipe not the pump, no way i can afford to cambelt change :(
^^Ahhh basically what they have done is acknowleged the mods but wont pay out for them. if they put it down as an increase in value, they'll pay out for them, at ealst thats how i interpret that
the little black pins are on the other side of the plug from that pic, lift them up and the silver pins pull straight out! Really easy once you've done 1
Dont think thats quite true, because nearly all modifications detract from resale value of a car! Its normally to do with making the car a more desireable target to thieves, vandles etc.
