i'm 20 but a 172 is ridiculous money to insure (2k+) where as insuring this car is 775 then +15 per mod so 172 isnt happening just yet, when the decat was on, it felt loads quicker, hence wanting to do a little bit of tuning
hello all, i'm after an idea of what mods to do to my car, AND the order in which to do them. At the moment I have a cat back exhaust, dynamique alloys, 172 spoiler, have eibach pro's to go on. Any recomendations for mods? Preferably insurance (bell) friendly. This is the list i have in my...
that doesnt sound right. The first sensor is used to determine whether or not the engine is running rich or lean and so the fuelling can be adjusted. The second takes a reading after the cat that is compare to the pre cat reading to make sure the cat is doing its job properly. Therefore...
Eibach sportlines will do just nicely, personally i've gone for the eibach pro's as i wasnt concerned about lowering, just the improved handling. I would say the only way to improve on either the pro's or sportlines is to match them to koni special yellow shocks.

oh right, you learn something new every day. Well throttle bodies will set you back £3k-£5k+ depending on your setup. You could always sell me the engine for tuppence halfpenny and buy a new one ;)
For your exhuast system, as by the sounds of your requirements you need custom made, I would goto Hayward and Scott, as I dont know of any off the shelf manifolds for the 182, saying that, the 182 exhaust manifold is very good, so maybe you would be better off just going decat/sports cat and...
ebay resistors are VERY wrong. for starters they are so stupoidly exspensive for what they are. They will also f**k your car up, basically it tricks the engine into running rich, in some cases, VERY rich, your fuel economy will drop faster than a tonne of bricks, and could cause some serious...
last plugs around 5k miles ago, oil and filter change 12k miles ago. Other than that i dont know because the shitty garage i bought the car off said it had full service history, and then when i collected it (after i handed over my money) he handed over the service history, 2 MOT certificates...
since putting on my new alloys (gone to 15" from 14") my mpg has dropped from an average of 31mpg to an average of 27! is this due the extra width of the wheels or is something wrong??
i no you said you wouldnt use t-cut, but i had a similar problem before, someone had spilt emulsion on the road and it splashed up my car, by the time i got home had dried. used t-cut colour restorer on it and it got rid, could never tell it had been there after.
