ECU Upgrades

I have noticed that BB Performance Tuning do these ECU upgrades for valvers...

Can someone explain to me the theory behind this, as im hoping it dosnt work on the same theory as a superchips which i understand tricks your car into thinking its cold so it piles more fuel in?

it will work on the same basis as a superchip, but your understanding of a superchip is slightly mis-guided. A chip/ecu remap/what ever else people call them is basically a different fuelling setup, much like using a different carb on a carb engine. It doesnt trick the engine into anything, just gives it a different map to work with.

The only things that trick the engine, are the little resistors oiff ebay that dont so much trick the engine, but trick the ecu.

They'll mess your car up very badly as the fuelling will never be right, remember if its to good to be true then it usually is

ebay resistors are VERY wrong. for starters they are so stupoidly exspensive for what they are. They will also f**k your car up, basically it tricks the engine into running rich, in some cases, VERY rich, your fuel economy will drop faster than a tonne of bricks, and could cause some serious problems.
