    Best pads for standard brakes?

I cooked my OE pads once after just 4-5 miles of nailing it. it was summer though, on other occasion they held up well after 10 miles of hard uphill going, however there were about 10 degrees outside. Saying that I went for the ds2500. Only wanted something that could withstand any situation...

    Fitted these washer jets

these spray better ;) why not buying them? why buy eibach springs, the OE ones are good enough... you get my point waste of time.. took me 2 mins

2,5" cat mod YES or NO

yeah I've seen their work, it's awesome but they're about 2500 miles away :D

    Fitted these washer jets

My std ones were spraying well, not too high or too low, but that's not the point. these new ones will spread the liquid in a larger area, being more efficient overall. check the videos. plus you'll never have to adjust them

    Fitted these washer jets

either use a flat screwdriver and gently work your way under them (on top of the bonnet) and rotate or push them from underneath with something that could reach them (something like a hammer handle) through the hole under the bonnet. mine came out easy pushing from under the bonnet

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

I found a bosch lambda on ebay, 60 quid plus 30 for transport. will ask renault for their price and if the diff is noticeable I'll take a chance on ebay
  10. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

depends how much they'll charge for transport. anyway, 80 will be the best I'll find

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

    65 is a good price.. I'll be paying around 100 here :(

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

maybe. wanna hear other thoughts on this. can't make an idea from 2 opposing sources

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

that's what I've read on a car parts website. I don't know, maybe renault recommends 50k like you said :S

Will 205 50 16 be ok to fit on my 182

they will but I'm afraid they will rub on the arch liners when on full lock. better get some used steel wheels (15") and some 195/50 tyres
  15. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

when you had changed yours, what mileage did you have on the clock? I've read somewhere that they should last about 100k. I'm on 56k right now so wondering if they give up earlier often or not

    205/50/R16

205/45 r 16 are hard to find sometimes. go for used steel rims plus some cheap 195/50 r15 tyres if you can't find the std size.
  17. ripp

    205/50/R16

you should find 195/50 r 15, and have a set of steel rims

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

I was about 37 mpg @ 65mph. should I consider a new lambda or ... engine warms up as it should, and it revs to 7250 when warm, so CTS and thermostat should be ok
  19. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

was the wind blowing when you had the test? this can be a major factor
  20. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

indeed I was talking about gallons not miles ;) I was thinkin that maybe the US gallon may be standardized and used all over the world, that's why I asked
  21. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

I was talking about the instant fuel consumption at a given speed, this shouldn't have anything to do with the average mpg, and re-setting the trip computer would be just an option. I'll set the cruise to 65 mph with the first occasion and see if I'm above 40 like fred said

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

    reset? what do you mean?
  23. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

is there anyway to do it yourself or is this a renault job?
  24. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

just wanted to be sure even though 37mpg (US) at 80 would've been too optimistic!
  25. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

I suppose you are also talking miles per UK gallon right?
  26. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

you said that you had 26 mpg lately. is that around town or combined?
  27. ripp

    MPG problems? change your lambda....

are you people talking about miles per UK or US gallon? my car shows in liters/100km and I want to see how mine is compared to some of your cars fuel consumption wise.. thx!

    Best all-season tyres

I would buy some cheap t1r's for the summer and also a cheap set of winter tyres if on a budget. I'm not a fan of compromises when it comes to traction/handling
