does anyone know if the dials carry the details of mileage etc, or do they just fit in and read it from the ECU? (i.e if you have a 172 MK2 with incorrect dials, with 30K on the clock, and then you go and buy a set of proper 172 MK2 dials from another 172 and put them straight in, would they work?
My details :
Male, 23, 6 YRS NCB, SP30 3 Points, Renault Clio 172 MK2 (Import)
Window Tints, 17s, Lowered 1.5cm, Cat Back Exhaust,

I need to buy another car, have £2.5k to £3k for it. What are peoples recommendations?
Looking for a 1.4 (but a punchy one)
Good Build Quality

yeah still in staines, if you have a word with your dad and see if he needs it, let me know, i would have to confirm that the missus is ok with it, but could be a good option if you want it.
the missus has just had her car fail its mot, and basically it is going to cost more to fix it up than it is actually worth! Can anyone tell me what i need to do to get rid of it? (PROPERLY!!)
thanks,
;), just need to convince her that she needs a new V6 255 in red now!
im finding after having the Eibach Pros fitted a few weeks now that the car is easier to drive at speed through corners, but the ride seems to have gotten quite bouncy and a bit harsher. All in all though, the advantage of the better handling makes them worthwile.
i feel the same, going from a 1.2 to my 172 it was amazing, the sensation of speed and power was great. But soon enough I started to realise that as powerful and great and fun to drive the 172 is, it is no supercar, and that there are a lot of cars on the road more advanced, like Subaru Imprezas...
