thats bizzare advice, 100K kms is nothing, try 150K MILES
its £166 for a dephaser over here whatever that translates to
i'd refit the old lifters, if they were quiet before then they'll still be quiet now, and chuck a dephaser pulley on it
i figured out the other day how much a track day actually costs me, i cried!
2 x R888 - £200
0.5 x front pads - £160
fuel - £100
broken bits and consumables £100
plus the day itself, i'm around £500-£600 for a day out :(
but then i remembered its "advertising" - company can pay then ;)
whatever you do you'll HAVE to change all 4 if change size, it c**ks up the ABS system if you don't
tyre wall "sway" as you put it is no bad thing, as long as they won't scrub, crack on
i think you'll have to go to 205/45 16 though
this is something that separates a "tuner" install from a pro motorsport install, you won't find any soldering anywhere near a motorsport install, soldering looms together to some is acceptable, to motorsport boys, its s**t
that's not a dig, thats a fact
no, as they state in their workshop manual "if the length under the head of the bolt exceeds 49.1mm then replace the bolt" (that's off the top of my head, so isn't word for word accurate)
if the garage/person are stupid enough to not measure the thing and ignorant enough to state "its not a...
^that's not what i'm saying, not getting involved with mtech as i don't know them, nor have i seen their work, and don't call me a tuner - that's a dirty word!! ;)
i'm offering my help as a cliosport member, take away all the trader stuff, Nick's been put out in some way shape or form and he...
7L is correct (from 100% dry) so unlikley you'll get all 7L in there
the "correct" stuff is renault type D (alien green) but any good 5year stuff will do, i run cheap and cheerful in my track car, but the engine comes out every year
i had an arguement with someone once who reckoned the crank pulley bolt isn't a stech bolt, O'rly, that's why it states in the renault workshop manual to measure the f**king thing!
i always fit new ones when doing cambelts
if its any help to you Nick i'll gladly fit another loom for you and look the car over £FOC, serious offer as i'd like to see what's going on for myself, call it being nosey, but something's up here
