    If its leaking out the cam end seal then its just a case of prising that one out, cleaning the face up if necessary and knocking a new one in. Although i've never had one leak yet and it looks properly fitted.

    More likely to be a split bottle if its draining out that fast. Its probably coming out the skuttle drain on the passenger side which dumps it behind the arch liner.

    Otherway round, Fuchs are a big oils company. They make all sorts of oils for industry, racing etc, we have a lot of their stuff at work.

    If its the bigger one then its 82 00 071 215 and £27.28, the smaller one is 77 00 847 815 and £28.34. Prices are approx as the pricing file i've got here is a few months old.

    Thats just the injectors, nothing to worry about. My old 172 used to sound like that all the time, it had the clickyiest injectors in the world.

    Thought only the later 182 JC5 box had the bolted diff retainer? As people have had circlip problems with 172s i'm sure Ali did off the top of my head.

    The springs in the right position? The renault ones have a paint mark on them that goes to the bottom and the rear iirc.

    Pretty sure they're quite expensive, most people end up going for an aftermarket stainless one instead.

    The first years no claims makes a big difference, making a claim in that first year isn't going to help you much. You might find it a little cheaper but not much.

    I changed the cam and aux belt on my 172 in may as well :(. Oh well all done and gone now.

    I agree with T5PHY, and I think you'll find that the coolant temp comes up faster than the oil temp does. I run the car for at least 15mins before giving it any great ammount of throttle/load.

    Its 5yrs/36k as DrRollo says and belts full stop shouldn't be retensioned.

    Using alot of fuel at normal drives.

    You can't use the gauge as a reference, its not linear. The top 1/3 or stop drops really quick then it hangs around in the middle for ages.

    And you can't really determine a belts condition visually either.

    Most probably wants a cambelt as well if its a 172. Even the last ones on an 04 plate will be nearly 5yrs old now.

    In the 172 used to change up circa 6800rpm when giving it a lashing. These days I don't worry so much as I now have torque :evil:.
