I'm pretty sure you won't get all of it back after 14 days. Usually a percentage depending on the age of the policy, if you can do it and not loose money i'd be very surprised.
You could check the wire that sends the speed pulse for continuity but you'd need to get to the abs pump/computer connector which is a major b**ch. Does the radio volume go up and down with the speed if the functions enabled and you've got a standard headunit? Speed pulse would be fine if it does.
You need a press really so best bet would be to get the hubs off and get someone to press the old ones out and new ones in. A garage shouldn't charge a great deal to do it.
