The computers do not have to be replaced, even the renault airbag manual states this it they only need to be replaced after 4 denonations or more. Just seems to be common practise to change the lot and give you a big bill anyway. Car isn't immobile sans airbag computer just puts the airbag...

Be difficult tbh, especially on your back. I've always fully dropped both shafts off and put them back on afterwards. Brackets got 3 bolts in it, two at the bottom one at the top iirc.

£300+ to supply a new airbag comp, fit it and code it to the car.

Its does not need replacing, the renault airbag manual even states that it only needs to be replaced after 4 detonations. It just seems to be the norm to replace it.

They are but they dim with time and use. Think the bulbs are generally rated for 1000 hours use or somthing like that.
