    9887R all the way, the audio features alone put it far ahead of the X100 imo. And full speed ipod works as well as i've seen from the X100 as long as your not bothered about the albumart or direct usb connection. Although i'd be tempted with a double din unit the scoob.

    You'll have problems with the ABS, not the mechanical side of it. The 172 and the Ph3 1.6 16v had rear discs fitted. God know why you'd want to fab an axle when they're easily avaliable.

    Well imo £300 for 2-3bhp at the most isn't worth it. After a few mods then yes I can see the point.

    Waste of time on a standard F4R so definetly no point on a 1.2. They only (imo) give decent power hikes on turbo engines and turbo diesels.

    I'd go with earths at the moment, check them as they always present funny problems like this. It isn't limp home mode as that is a 3krpm limit and it just crawls up to 3k its nothing like hitting the limiter at all. The cold engine limit is 6500rpm instead of the normal 7250rpm so it isn't that...

    The cam cover bolts should be 12nm if your going to try sealing them.

    Does seem very dry in there. Not good, any scoring on the cams? The tossers fucked you good and proper here :(. Leak test would be my first port of call, that or pull the head and see what you find.

    The Ph2s did too, thats what cut through the loom to cause all sort of problems. They just altered it with the Ph3 to the same setup as all the others to eliminate the problem.
