Do not use radweld, it'll probably cause more problems than it'll solve. Just change the bloody thing, its not that hard.

You want the cambelt and aux belt kits which include all the tensioners and idlers to change, you also want the core plugs that go in the end of the head as they have to be prised out to lock the cams.

Deffo try flux, they were the only people that'd give me a decent price on my old 1.6 with mods and same with the 172 aswell.

It is but you need the cambelt off to change it iirc.

No alarm, no locking wheel nut and no window etching. Basically everything to bring it up to CAT1 standard.

The alarm led is up on the door lock switch, fitter must have decided it'd look better there :dapprove:.

You can't recode keys, thats why all of those being sold on ebay as spares that they say you can get coded to your car are useless!

Oh and it can only be done by renault or someone else with a CLiP computer.

Your complaining at £42? As far as I know you can't recode keys that have already been coded, not for the immobisiler anyway. So thats a new key at £130!

Lose the compressor, sort out a new aux belt, loose the consender and loose the piping in the engine bay. Thats about it, f**k knows why you'd do it to a FF though tbh, get a cup if you've got a stripped out feeling overcoming you.

They've probably got turned off check the manual on how to turn them back on.

You'd need to get it regassed afterwards and your not supposed to vent the refridgerant to atmosphere, other than that nothing really.

Some/most things are rather rediculously priced because they've got you over a barrel, where else are you going to get them from new cheaper? If you can buy it elsewhere then its usally pretty well priced imo. The jump from £40->£110 for the RS aux belt kit is a pisstake though. I will pay...
