Disconnect the battery, wait a little bit and it'll be fine. The airbag clips off, if you look on the back of the wheel you'll see two slot you can push something in there to unclip the airbag iirc.
It doesn't, its just a bar to mount the isofix points on as said. The seat lowers just clip in and sit flat, and the backs bolt in a completly different spot.
You can remove it if you wish.
Don't be such a jessy ;) it won't blow your head off. Just take the battery off and leave it for a while if you worried like you've said.
Its an airbag not a grenade, just be careful with it and you'll be fine.
These the pinouts for the standard siemens siruis 34 ecu?
You running a cable throttle I assume? As there isn't really a throttle position as with the Ph2/3 as its calculated from the signal from the electric pedal.
Speed pulse is Pin 33 of the ABS/ESP Computer
Injector 1 is Pin 59 of the ECU...
Agree with keeping the standard parts and don't do anything too permanent that you can't reverse, everything that was one mine was stripped off and sold and refitted the standard parts. Got 1k odd back from selling bits in the end.
Will disagree with the headunit though, the standard one is...
Yeh mine was the same, it was wierd and I wasn't 100% happy with it buts theres nothing you can do really. The 172 doesn't do it afaik, although I haven't really looked tbh.
Very true on the knocking point, is the shock angled where it comes through the the turret in the bay? More than the...
Deffo go for the castrol super responce, its only a tenner from opie oils with the CS discount and was/is a quite big difference between it and normal dot 4 stuff.
I've got brembo hc discs/greenstuff pads/goodridge lines and can't fault them, definite improvement over standard.
Thats the side you knocked wasn't it? Though could never see anything wrong really, unless a balljoint is shagged now or something.
My old 1.6 used to sit lower on the drivers side than the passenger side (slightly), theres more weight on the drivers side (ish) so put it down to that.
Re: Super Unleaded or Unleaded
It says 98ron recommended on the fuel filler cap for a reason imo. And I can tell the difference between normal 95 and vpower (99), and tbh its not that more expensive tbh. Its probably only a couple of quid difference on a fillup so no big deal its the cost of a...
When you've done them all it'll look like this btw (my old one):

Waste of money? Almost undoubtably yes but hell i'd do it again because I enjoyed it. Still miss that car sometimes.
That didn't work for me, according to the renault docs the brake light switch must close to turn the brake lights on before 4 bar (iirc) of pressure has built up in the brake circuit or it'll put the ESP/ABS/SERV lights on. The idea is it warns you of a failed brake pedal switch and that you've...
Was standard from late 2002, so some/most 52 plates have it and pretty much all 03 plates have it. Cruise/speed limiter was introduced as standard late 2003 so some 53/04 plates have it, some don't.
When I bought mine I specifically went after one with both fitted.
Obvious telltale is whether...
Doesn't matter if the bore isn't central.
Yeh I appreciate that but the weight of the car is taken on the centre bore not the wheel bolts as standard, i'd be using studs with that tbh. (well I wouldn't because i'd have done a proper job and had them machined, remember they're the only thing...
Grinding the centre bore out with a dremel? Now it might just be me and I might be completely wrong but is that not one of the most stupid f**king ideas i've ever heard?
How the hell are you removing exactly the same ammount of metal from each side so that the wheel mounts...
They'll be fine as they're behind projectors with the dual optics, whether they'd pass an mot is as said subject to the tester really. But they'd be easy enough to swap back to normal bulbs for the MOT.
Yes but diff circlip intact or not it shouldn't go into second without the clutch down unless he's got other serious problems.
Short answer, new box time.
If it was the diff circlip (what I thought initially) they why can he put into 2nd without the clutch?
If it was the diff circlip then surely he wouldn't be able to put it in gear without the clutch and he'd get speedo drive but no drive to the wheels.
