I always had this (slighty) with my old 1.6 on an Apex kit, theres more weight on the drivers side you've got to remember. It wasn't a big difference though.
Yes but to have the cams out you have to have the belt off and you shouldn't retension a used belt. And the top part of the bearing shells for the cams are part of the cam cover so you need the tension off the belt before you can even look at the cams. And you need it off the remove them...
Do the rear discs on the clio self adjust as per handbrake operation and the wear of the pads/disc/cable?

Do all temp senders output a standard resistance?
Wanting to put an oil temp gauge in my 172 and a valver level/temp sender should replace the standard level sender (physically) just wondering how (or if) it'll work with an aftermarket gauge?

Its the heater fan control/resistor pack, been covered millions of times before do a search for details. Short answer its 100 notes.
My old 1.6 (same engine with longer stroke crank) suffered from poor cold idle which was due to the throttle body. They're not cheap (from renault) and it might not be the problem but its an idea, try cleaning it first and see if it effects it.
