No its not, should have had it done with the belt tbh if you wanted some fitting. Would cut a lot of time out of the job having the belt off already.

I always had this (slighty) with my old 1.6 on an Apex kit, theres more weight on the drivers side you've got to remember. It wasn't a big difference though.

Yes but to have the cams out you have to have the belt off and you shouldn't retension a used belt. And the top part of the bearing shells for the cams are part of the cam cover so you need the tension off the belt before you can even look at the cams. And you need it off the remove them...

Do all temp senders output a standard resistance? Wanting to put an oil temp gauge in my 172 and a valver level/temp sender should replace the standard level sender (physically) just wondering how (or if) it'll work with an aftermarket gauge?

I got a battery from renault for £50 when mine started to die. And thats an oem renault one, £100 is a joke!

If its been asked before then why didn't you search?! :S Its the heater fan control/resistor pack, been covered millions of times before do a search for details. Short answer its 100 notes.

My old 1.6 (same engine with longer stroke crank) suffered from poor cold idle which was due to the throttle body. They're not cheap (from renault) and it might not be the problem but its an idea, try cleaning it first and see if it effects it.

Stationary or creeping, you can tell the box doesn't like being put into first whilst your rolling. Especially at 20mph.

If you've selected 1st then its in gear whether the clutch is up or down!

Had a similar problem and it was the throttle body.

Wipers off then you can get the passenger side skuttle panel off, then you should be able to disconnect and get it out.

Actual exhaust snaps, happens where the pipe joins the backbox too.

Your supposed to change things like these in pairs, same as you should with springs etc.
