For the millionth time you do not need a new airbag computer at about £300/£400. New seat and search for airbag reset on ebay, send the computer to there and they'll clear the computers memory which will take the SERV and Airbag light off.
You'd be better off with the adapter CAD sell, don't have to take the dash top off for a start. Better still you want the proper alpine adapter so you keep the full screen function, its not cheap though.
99% sure none of the 3 i've had didn't let me do it without the ignition or at least the accessory feed on. May differ in different markets I wouldn't worry about it.
Is it under warrenty? I'd say the cats already fecked so you might as well carry on. The fault code reader will show Circuit 1 Bank 1 O2 Sensor fault which means the cat downstream lambda isn't reading what it should.
You've got to be careful with some readers as they won't work with the Clio...
The brake pedal shouldn't bring the electric fault warning light on afaik, it isn't connected to anything that'd put it into limp mode for sure. You had the fault codes read?
They're not weak they just don't like abuse simple as. It could probably be repaired but you won't know whats wrong with it until you split the box. If you can't do it yourself it'll probably be cheaper to get a new box in it.
I don't know they may be the same caliper just made by another company, i'm sure mine have bosch stamped on them but bendix does ring a bell seing as the calipers been used on french cars for about 20 years its probably been made by a few people.
I've never seen anything up there when i've changed the CC fan, and that diagram Brians posted is for the Ph1 which is pre-UCH so it may be different. And the diagrams i've got (renault's for the Ph2) don't show anything other than the light on its own earth, although when I had LEDs fitted in...
Its the exhaust gas warning light will be the cat having a funny because its been stood for a bit. It might go off on it own but otherwise it'll need the fault codes reset to take it off, give me a shout if you want it doing i've got the diagnostic tackle to do it and i'm not far away.
Pop the top off the steering cowling, it just pulls off. Might be able to get it out from that, otherwise theres three (torx T20) screws to take the bottom cowling off.
Nope not a big job I can have a bumper off in 5 mins. The actual washers aren't that expensive either they're about £7 or something from the stealers, its just they'd tell you its a big job and charge you the earth.
Tell me about it, paying £1800 for the 172 with the same details. Oh the joys of being young :(, still its soooo worth it :D. Flux were one of the only people who'd touch me.
