Well theres no way to adjust the switch as said and all three of the Mk2s i've had have all been the same really. Short of modifiying the switch so its shorter and comes on early theres nothing you can do.
Don't put it into reverse as quick after you've put the clutch down. As said theres no syncro on reverse and if the internals are still spinning then it'll crunch.
If it were me (and it was at one point) it'd get it colour-coded maybe sideskirts and be happy with that. Becuase it still looks pretty damn good imo and its not trying to be something its not.
Plus the money you'll save can be put towards getting an RS if you wanted to go down that route.
Not...
No you can get them from quite a few places on the net etc, there D2S fitment bulbs so as long as there D2S bulbs they'll fit. The wattage of a hid xenon bulb is actually quite a bit lower than a normal halogen bulb as well just for a bit of trivia.
Yes you'll need to get them sprayed and the rs doesn't come in that colour. To do a proper job you need:
RS Front Bumper
RS Front Rings
RS Sideskirts
182 Rear Bumper if you want the dual exit
Cup Spoiler off a 172 Cup or a cup packed 182.You can bodge the RS front bumper onto standard wings but...
I'll guess that he's bought the bulb thinking its a HID xenon one when it isn't, the HID bulbs are about £90.
To change the bulbs its a bumper off, headlight out job really. Thats not as daunting as it sounds btw.
Well the same brake setup is on all the 16v Mk2s and some of those come with 14" steelies on. Don't know if the hub arrangement is the same with the valver though. So i'll go with maybe.
Cruise control was added in late 2003 for the last of the 172s, they removed the cd changer from standard spec when they added esp/cruise. You'll only find cruise on 53/04 plates, and i've seen some 53s with no cruise. I specifically wanted it when I bought mine so found a few without.
The bolts stick through to the underside of the car so they get covered in crap and start to rust etc. When your removing them and they start to get tight you need to tighten the bolt and few turns to clear the thread then start undoing them again. Otherwise the thread will jam and the bolts...
About 20.50 on lutterworth road heading towards the town, I was in my 172 going the other way. First time i've ever seen a Ph2 V6 in the flesh and it looked awesome!
Anyone on here?
It might just be how it is, I get alot of feedback through the wheel like this when going over bumps and potholes etc. Infact you get a lot of feedback through the steering full stop compared to most other modern cars out then. I bloody love it, you can feel so much about whats happening.
