Damn right they should to. Its just lazy, wasting a belt and risking more damage trying it with a new belt. Bad practice imo.
Very few engines are non-interference these days, and the renault 16v lumps certainly aren't theres no way in hell theres not bent valves.
Its very easy to overstep it though imo because it being so predictable it gives you a bit of a false sense of confidence at the time, I just left it a little to late before getting on the power to correct it and it was too far gone by then. Luckily I escaped with paint damage only.
Was planning on bleeding it through, wouldn't drain it in a million years! Thats a whole new world of pain!
So 1l is enough to keep topping up and pump it through all round yeah?
Do you need to flush the braking system on a 172? Looking to get some castrol response dot4 stuff and want to make sure I flush all the old stuff out.
A litre bet enough or would I need 2?
18k/2yr is rediculous anyway, i'd go with 9k/1yr at an absolute max. I always change oil/filter every 5k.
The service schedule for most new renaults now is back to 12k/1yr so that says something.
Bounced the old one off some railings backwards in the rain once* :o, lesson well learnt there. Other than that i'm sure theres loads of things i've forgotten, but thats definetly the biggest.
*Lift off oversteer is really cool up until this point ;).
It can't rub on the lower spring bed as its never any closer to the wheel than it is now. If its anything it'll be the arch/arch liners or a knackered wheel bearing if its a constant drone.
My only real complain is how it drives like a complete fecking dog from cold, other than that nothing really. Though i'm sure once i've done the aux/cambelt i'll have more things to add lol.
I've had three clios i'm a row now so i'm pretty used to the other little "quirks" of it.
Theres plenty of people round here that seem not to though! Only a novelty 6 quid purchase, don't think they'll be on very long before I get bored with them.
There all the same from what i've got, part number:
77 00 112 818 CLUTCH FORK 31.54 ---3 x 1
Might not be concurrent though so still best to give them a ring.
