Personally i'd put a new clutch on it just as a matter of course and that would solve the release bearing problem, release arm from what I can tell it the same as the non RS clios so scrappy maybe? Could be wrong on that though, does look the same at first glance.
Its going into a valver i'm...
I had the screen delay and intermittant controls when I fitted the alpine adapter in my 1.6 dynamique, now i've fitted it in the 172 it works perfectly! Work that one out! :S
Theres the incartec adapter that CAD sell that gives you your stalk control back and displays "Alpine" on the display, thats £40. And theres an alpine adapter that will give you stalk and information on the screen (station name, track name/number etc), thats about £90+ though.
Official line is to replace the airbag computer (not the ecu) which isn't hard but it about £300+ as you can only get them from renault and then it needs coding to your car.
The cheapest and best option is to send it to germany to have it reset, its £60...
The only trouble with putting it in the upper grille like that is that you have to remove the alternator water shield, so everytime it rains water will get in.
Power steering pressure switch, its usually used to pick the idle up when you load the power steering on idle. But for some reason it doesn't on the 1*2, so i'm not entirely sure what its there for tbh.
What does the alarm say its tripped on? The LED should flash so many times to tell you after you've unlocked it, look in the manual.
Should help narrow it down.
You can't just fit the xenon bulbs to your halogen clusters btw incase thats what your thinking. The full xenon setup from renault is about £800-£1k. For clusters, bulbs and ballasts.
Looking to get some DS2500 pads and brembo hc discs and yozza seem to be the cheapest but was wondering if I can collect? As afaik i'm not that far away, any got a postcode/address?
Changing the standard pads on the 172 for some uprated ones, had greenstuff on the 1.6 and was quite impressed with them over the mintex extremes I tried and definetly better than standard.
Was going to go greenstuff again but was wondering if the DS2500s were worth a look?
Car won't ever see...
