I agree with @Bear Head . Looks a good idea . My flanges weren't as bad as yours . But I was fed up or replacing God knows how many Genuine fitting kits over the years because they would go rusty.
This is what I did back in September 2016 . Still going strong :smile...
When people say it " might be " this , that or the other , like the garage you took it to saying it " might be " the ECU , says to me they're just guessing .
So when you say it doesn't appear to be the battery or altenator , have they tested them or even tried a new battery ? Have they checked...
When my alternator went titsup , all the lights you have on came on but I managed to get home . When I got home , i turned it off but it wouldn't turn back on again . Is it just clicking when you try and start it now ? If so , again going off my own experience is that your battery might be flat...
I had similar symptoms earlier this year and it turned out my alternator was knackered, all the lights on and it cut out , but mine wouldn't restart . Maybe you have a loose wire on the alternator ?
It can be quite a common thing to happen , especially in wet weather . I've seen it mentioned alot over the years on CS. Mine does it on and off on my 182 , did it on my 172 as well . The brake pads stick the the disc . I wouldn't worry about it too much .
You can buy kits with a buffing pad and cerium oxide or use a buffing pad of your own . We used to use Jewellers rouge at work , but that was literally for the finest scratches and the glass was never like new . In the end they stopped using it . Give it a go , but I doubt you'll get the results...
You can buy Jewellers rouge or Cerium oxide that will help take out fine scratches. If the scratch is deep though you'll be polishing forever and a day .
I'm going back more than 11 years now , when my 182 was only a couple of months old . My temp gauge just started to randomly go up and down , even after I'd been driving it for a while . It turned out it was just a loose connection on the coolant temp sensor . " I think " it's located under the...
I've seen JP exhausts get slated , I think it was on CS but not 100% about that . I also thought Ktec nicked Yozzas design years ago?? Having said that . I have an original Yozzasport exhaust , had it about 7 or 8 years now and it's been spot on
I didn't want to like the car after looking at the pic . But actually liked it with the 3rd wing . I didn't want to like the New show either , as much as I like watching things I've seen with Ant in it . But I liked the show too . It did seem weird not seeing Edd and I feel sorry for him as he...
Like I said , mine just cured itself . I could have the CC set , green light on the dash but the steering wheel buttons wouldn't function.I took off each rear light cluster , one at once and pressed the brake pedal. It turned out it was the offside light that was causing the fog light dash...
I used have this problem , albeit intermittently a couple of years ago . It cleared itself so I don't have a solution for you guys unfortunately . I'm sure I read somewhere ages ago that it might be linked to a bad earth/ corroded pins on the rear light clusters . Do any of you experience the...
It should still show your time and temp even with the radio off . Maybe there's a break in the wire or there's a problem with the sensor itself . I wouldn't have a clue how to check that tbh .
It should be showing the temperature below the time , like in this pic . Like da rok says , they usually show some wierd random temp if there's a problem . I very much doubt it'll throw a fault code up though.
Tbh , I wouldn't worry too much about the security side of things . I would imagine someone who wants to steal a car would always try the drivers/ passenger door . If they find them locked I doubt very much they'll think " I know , I'll see if the boots unlocked ". But obviously , it needs...
It sounds like the the battery to me. You say the " green indicator " on the battery was black ? You recharged it but but still nothing ? The green indicator is only showing that , that 1 cell is ok so isn't the best way to tell if the battery is in good / bad condition . The battery needs to...
They do make a bit of a whining sound. These engines are quite noisy as normal . Watching your video , there's no noise from your dephaser. You'll know when its on its way out as it's a very loud rattle .
