I see where your going bud yeah tho to make that boost at them revs I think you'd be overspeeding the sc by loads, tho there are many different types of blower, others might be suitable. Also pressure is restriction to flow so 10psi on that pulsar engine might actually be the same flow as 4psi...
Does make me laugh that most people who throw money at there cars and don't actually do the work think the tuning companies are the be all and end all, I'd put money on there being more faulty/failed/blown up tuner built cars than diy
in the nicest way possible and without trying to start anything to major but the diy boys always push the boundaries and find the limits and thats why there are faliures, but if you look and see the diy boys are always putting out more than the "companies" stevieh is the perfect example with the...
thats what im saying it doesnt create a restriction at low rpm, its only at high rpm that it becomes one so no need to have a variable one that only cuts in at high revs.
variable vanes in the turbo work by adjusting the exhaust side not the inlet, it directs the exhaust gasses over the wheel differently. the way i do it is spool the sc fast and then limit the air it can draw in.
yeah to a point tho remember its direct revs vs flow. you can fit a small pully and have loads of boost low down, what happens when you get to 7200rpm? your probably spinning the sc faster than it was designed. you need to pick your boost level you want the pick a pully to deliver that at your...
its all to do with how its delivered and when its delivered in the rpm range. its a tuff one to explain but a sc running 10psi will hit full boost at top revs so delivering linear torque (constantly trying to make more and more power as its flow is based directly to revs), a turbo one will chuck...
some last and others dont, my other clio used to bounce at 7800 with bodies and 428s all day long and never batted an eye lid, ive not tried to go past stock revs with this one tho
goes well bud, gota be in the 5secs to 60 an pulls like a train top end. shame the response to most on here who ask about the 1.6 engine is to swap it out for an f4r
see for me i like to find the limit of things before i go to the next step, im going to see if i can go for 300 for a while on the stock lump, if it blows it blows if not its all fun.
depends what you want, i see the fun in going all out forging it then blowing it and having it all there...
i need to get to brunters for a run, i may have seen a gps 150 with revs left to go and it got there quite quick. would act be nice to see what it could do
mines fine, engines on 100k and still going strong and as bomber said we run more power than the normal kits. i have done one gearbox but the curent one seems to be holding up well, the last one was an unknown when i fitted it, this one i striped and put back together myself. i use mine everyday...
Plus the slating of certain rollers? You were happy with your result at the time until mine ran more? U then spoke to Ktec and then said to me "rich maps them lean so it won't last long" my cars done 10k since with alot of abuse and track work?
It's the contradiction that I question. If The car was all good then why then take it to tdf to check out? Them say it was as good as it can be but then say they couldn't unlock the ecu? How would they even know if the timing or fueling couldn't be taken further if they cant get into the ecu to...
I did all 4 on mine in situe after they blew out on the dyno, but I'm pikey and would of then stripped it if it didn't work. Lots of grease helped but if it wasn't mine the head would be off to do the job
I'm sure they wouldn't sell it without fitting if it was a specialist job, if it cones with instructions your on to a winner. Everyones different and I'll usually give most things a go before getting a specialist to do the work, if your handy with a spanner you'll be fine. Give it ago and if...
