I swear by the stuff. I even introduced my mother to the concept of using it on her oven, silly bint.
I heard a rumour that excessive use of acidic cleaners, Wonder Wheels and so forth and possibly FPS can actually cause your wheels to go porous?!
Go through the number of stops as specified, drive for a couple of miles without using the brakes then repeat is usually the way.
Can you not roughly carry out the number of recommended stops?
Did you remove the shims? I never have but Fred advises it.
In terms of bedding in, follow the instructions in the box in order to activate the compound.
You should have the main inlet on top of the box at the back. To the right of the box there should be a feed that runs between the headlight and the battery and into the wheel arch. The other feed should come out of the bottom of the airbox and to the front. The the left of the near side head...
We discussed this a while ago Fred, I've just found the thread. Do you say -0,05?
What does a 172 and a Cup run?
Is the negative suitable for road use or will I scrub tyres out in no time?
I will be having the toe angles reset sometime this week but need to know what to ask for. I've been reading through Edde's spec's but the details just confuse me, 2 44' this, 1 35' that.
The car is a phase 2 172 lowered on Sportlines fitted with Cup Turinis.
Do I go for FF settings, Cup...
I hope they last after I do the same this week. The lacquer will be an inch thick LOL.
It's my crappy K800i, bag-o-shite.
The A539's weren't quite as bad until this morning when I went out for a little 'spirited driving'. I've heard that they have been discontinued so went for a set of Yoko...
No mate, not on Eibachs. They are designed to run with standard dampers as they are progressively wound. Uprated dampers would be a bonus but really not necessary.
I think mine were poorly refurbed. When I bought them, I was told three had already been done but they were already chipping.
The A539's haven't helped as, as you can see from the picture, the rim is majorly exposed. I thinkthe rim actually touches the tarmac when cornering really hard as...
Cheers old bean, they've certainly turned out much better than I expected.

Further to this thread (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=266202), after a week or so messing around with wet and dry, silver paint and lacquer, the final results (apologies for the crap pic's):

Just seen this Russ. I used Carplan Silver 18. In their colour guide it is classed as a very close match for 647 Gris Titane. The only difference is there is slightly less flake.
£3.20 a can and I used 5 cans.
This was the worst wheel with scarring around the rim and a gouge out of each fin on the spokes. I did intend to only paint this wheel completely and blend the rims on the others but I couldn't be arsed with the hassle in the end so I did them all.
The rims aren't 100%, i'd say nearer 90% but...
Only a real traffic cop would spot one around these parts but you will most probably have him behind you on the motorway so you should be ok.
Mine has been on for nearly 2 years and i've never had an issue.
