i dont like it, i can't tell if the feedback is any better as it was pretty good before. also im running a pas rack with no fluid, a proper manual rack would be better! the faster I corner, the more it trys to straighten out and the harder it is! :( it's not hard to get the power steering...

my circlip on my jb3 box went the other night and I've been searching for a definative solution without much joy! It's my understanding that the circlip is pushed out by the bit that the driveshaft slots in to due to the tapered cogs? my circlip and washer look imaculate, as does the diff...

what's it for? will my engine blow up if i remove/disconnect it?

i need my hair cut, so the beanie is staying till then ;) engine is out because the gearbox circlip broke - gonna get it welded in :) (and I had a few more things I wanted to do to the steering rack and loom, so made sense to pull the lot out

i'll have it out tomorrow morning :D the circlip has popped off. unlike the mk2 boxes, the mk1 one isnt bolted in! :eek: so i'll get a new circlip and have it welded in!

next to me at the pumps this afternoon my original 172 engine came from a w***wtr!!

cheers :D for some reason, i can't get upset at this car :o infact, it even broke down this evening :dapprove: ... lots of fiddling with the loom later and it turns out its the injector relay having a duff connection - the one relay ive not touched, typical! :D seems to idle a lot better now...

got my alternator repaired today! :D exhaust is blowing again... might have to get a section welded :dapprove: anyway, here is a vid of it running (not idling quite right) work temp gauge! :D
