the diff circlip... once it pops out the first time, it will keep doing it :(
i *think* the williams box is the same, for a bolt in circlip you need a 172 box
Are there any differences in the bottom ends for a ph1 172 and a 182?
internally or externally (crank case)?
flywheel/clutch the same?
heads interchangable?
cheers :D
oh
very interested... willing to courier? (cheshire is a bit far :o)
:edit: at a 182 BE will bolt straight onto a ph1 172 head and clutch etc? any differences?
both my oil pressure switch (obviously) and the oil pressure sender are 14x1.5
my pressure sender is small, so i just need a t/y piece...
that's what I was asking ;)
my hydraulic shop offered a similar solution to yours (i.e. convert everything to 3/8) but it's a bit messy for my liking...
bump!
who did you get your t-piece from D1CKY?
I'm just looking for a (non fixed if possible) 14x1.5 t-piece, but no one seems to be able to supply one - they can make it work like yours though i.e. lots of bushes and adapters... bit too messy imo :(
my pressure sender is small so I don't...
I really can't see them kicking up any fuss if anything were to be 'inspected' - not like i've tried to hide it
thinking about it, my engine doesnt have a number plaque on it like the old F7P... do F4Rs normally? - I know the engine number from the donor car's reg though
When i swapped my engine I just went to my DVLA office (to tax the car too) and told them of a change in CC. I told them it was a new engine, but they just changed the CC and my old engine number is still there :? - can't really be fooked to change it
my car is taxed as a 2.0 under the old...
end of comment? no, i'll comment some more thanks ;)
172s have the same tax rate as 1.2s?
I was going purely based on engine size - do they not change the C02 rating of the car if you put a 172 lump in? - if that determines your tax...
they are
but they have a plug at the dash end which needs to be connected (contains an ignition live and an earth iirc). without it, the car will idle at 1500 after being driven (no idea why)
the insurance company will still be liable to pay for third party costs if you have undeclared mod's
however, they can try and reclaim costs from you
don't think the police will care if they pull you over if you have undeclared mods for this reason.
dvla might though, as they should be...
