I wasn't sure wether this should go in other marques or here as it is a tuning and mechanical question.
My mates 307 XSI has snapped its Cat at the manifold end. A new one should be here tomorrow but I said I may as well service the car at the same time as it hasn't been done for ages.
My...
No to both I'm afraid.
The wheels are particularly bad purely from a quality point of view. A friend had a set on his Vectra SRI diesel and within a week the front two had numerous flat spots. He took them back to Halfrauds, kicked up a fuss and had two new ones fitted. A week later, the...
After all this talk of diy inlet manifold porting, I have been seriously tempted myself.
My car has already been remapped by Paul Murray but will this be enough to compensate for the change in AFR.
I know it is a difficult, hypothetical question but wasn't sure if any of the wizards on here...
Panel all the way mate as you will suffer heat soak with an open K&N style.
A panel should be a piece of pi55 to fit. Just replace the original and possibly uprate the feed while you're at it.
As promised:http://cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=99069&highlight=172+remap.
I think Paul gained around 12bhp on the first 182 he did and similar torque figures to mine.
Ecotek valves are lame mate. They do nothing other than make a god awful noise.
I've had my 172 remapped by pmurray on here and the results were impressive. I only gained around 5 bhp but it was the low down torque which was much improved. There was a gain of about 14lb/ft of torue at around...
Spotted you parked round the back of your house yesterday mate then on the road today on the way out of Cas', up towards Allerton Bywater.
Car looked mint, nice and low.
We were in my girlfiends Fiesta so you wouldn't have spotted me. We were going to the gym and I don't like getting sweat on my seats LOL.
Where does your girlfriend live, Barwick i'm guessing?
I saw you both last week Jamie, you were at the top of Main Street coming from Barwick. I think it was Tuesday at about 7ish.
Both cars looked great in the flesh.
Does anyone remember the Clio Team stickers that were spotted on a Spanish 182 on the 'Espana 182' thread, did anyone ever get hold of any?

I saw him today and wondered what the specs were on his car as it seemed to go very well (all within the posted speed limits).
I've seen Tims car a couple of times but actually got to see it go today.
We were both being childish really trying to jump a queue at a set of lights.
Anyone any...
I had a dabble with a colleagues Volvo S60R on the way home tonight.
Suited and booted financial adviser in his 38k barge vs a fiesty young upstart in his Clio.
I actually pulled away but he really cannot have been trying as he has a book speed of 5.7 to 60 and 300bhp.
After fitting my Apex about 3 months ago, I have noticed that the N/S rear is is consistently lower than the O/S rear by about 20mm. If I jack the car up and let it settle again it does the same thing.
What I haven't yet worked out is wether it does it when the fuel tank is full. Is the tank...
I can fully vouch for the pain in the ar5e of a job that is changing a Cat on a 172. It took both me and my dad (both technically minded) around 30 mins just to swap them over once we realised what we needed to do. You just cannot get access as the subframe obscures your view.
Keep searching...
Finally spotted you mate with the girlfriend in toe at 7 tonight coming back from Barwick. I was going through the lights at the top of Main Street with my girlfriend in her 5hit pot Fiesta.
The car looked mint mate as did the Mini
I've only ever been stopped 3 times in 6 years of driving at I drive like a clown 99% of the time (within the limits of the road and situation obviously) so I don't think I should have a problem with getting stopped. If I do I will change it back but at a glance, you'd never even know.
It's...
That looks mint Jamie. The bonnet and bumper will need painting shortly so may look at that then. Still can't believe I haven't seen you. I used to see you every Friday at about 3 when I got back from Uni'.
Dutty, I was looking for a pic of yours as I couldn't remember wether it was sat...
Had to remove the old plate, smooth and fill the holes some clown drilled when fitting some old plates, respray and laquer then finally position the new plate which appears to be wonky. D'oh. Oh well, i'll straighten it when the laquer has fully set.
Sounds just like the fuel cut off switch has been knocked. Not sure where it is, possibly under the dash.
Though thinking about it, you said it is getting fuel.
Are they worth it and by how much. The car is lowered on -40 Apex and has Cup Turinis @ ET37 I believe.
Would spacers be of benefit and are they possible without rubbing?
