I fitted a sports cat at xmas and found it to give some nice gains.
The car already had a custom cat back system, PiperX panel with uprated feeds, sealed silicone elbow and a remap. The cat just seemed to bring everything together nicely with a nicer exhaust note.
Mine was only £53 notes...
Trophy, V6 they're both the same. As long as it's not another Cup spoiler i'm happy.
Exhaust is twin 3'' inwardly rolled custom jobbie. Sounds superb.
Thanks for all the kind comments people.
Are these any good. My car is due it's 36k service anytime now and my local motor factors can get them at £20 a set. For that price I may as well take the plunge if they are any good.
The camera is pants mate, it's my Nokia 6680. I thought I'd get some quality pics just as the sun was setting but when I got them onto the PC, they were crap. It doens't help that I can't take pics either.
As promised, some pics after giving it a very quick clean ce soir.
I wanted to fit my 3/4 plate tonight as well but I had to take my bro' and his mate over to his stranded Corsa after a caliper bolt fell out. Bag of 5hite. You can just see make out the old kid leering in the window behind as...
What do you drive these days? 'A DB7', and what about you? 'A new BMW 330d' and how about you Nathan? 'An X reg Clio' LOL.
Sorry mate, just doesnt quite fit. Mighty nice car though.
So you'd prefer a stamp than receipts proving the work had been done. That's the sort of thing I want to know as I would like to know what sort of impact this will have on resale.
Cambelt is recommended at 72k but I wanted mine a little earlier. Although the cheapest price I was quoted for...
Good point, if I kept that car for 3 years and saved £250 on 3 services, the car wouldn't be worth £750 less come sale time would it?
My dad is one of the most mechanically minded people in the world so I could say he did it.
It can't be worth £300 notes in labour though can it? Thats £100 an hour labour charge if it takes 3 hours. With the money I save I can have the tracking done, use better quality oil etc and *cough* get a mate to stamp my book *cough*.
But would the pile of receipts instead of a dealer stamp...
After all of the frankly ridiculous quotes for the 36k service on 51 plate 172, I have looked into the cost of parts and it seems to be around £60. Based on that, where does the justification for £250-£300 of labour charges come from?
I am more than able to carry out the service myself and to...
So all these used keys on ebay like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-LAGUNA-CLIO-MEGANE-REMOTE-ALARM-KEY-FOB-INFA-RE_W0QQitemZ4625354454QQcategoryZ10410QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem are useless?
I know it has been asked before but I never seem to find a conclusive answer. My 172 has only ever had 1 key/ If Ibought another from Ebay, could it be reprogrammed to work on my car, who/where can do it and is it going to empty my wallet?
I just wanted it to be different really. When I first got the car I always planned the lowering and either Turinis or Superlegs. Little did I realise everyone else had the same planned as well. LOL. Hence the V6 spoiler over the Cup.
I sprayed the spoiler myself. It still needs a good cut once...
A lad I went to school with thought he'd go to town modifying his Nova one day. I had an SR at the time which wasn't that bad for an 18 year old lad. The friend in question picked up this example a couple of months after mine but thought his 1.2 L was an Evo 9 chassis'd super wagon. He decided...
Dont bother with the grille route. Remove the acoustic valve and run the pipe right down to the base of the nearside arch liner where there is a vent angling air upwards behind the foglight. Just perfect for an uprated feed. This also keeps the feed as short and straight as possible maximising...
The fit is ok but areas around the gutter rails on the edges of the roof panel don't flow very well into the spoiler, there is quite a step. Unfortunately I haven't got the shorter struts yet so the spoiler hits both the roof and the aerial.
It still hasn't stopped raining but I took some pics...
Was just about to say, they need spacers to account for the 182's different offset. Looks good though.
See here to see how the Cup Turinis sit and how the V6 spoiler will look on it.

Fook that. Cat B. I bet its a right can of worms.
Just thought, you can't even put Cat B's back on the road so has he just cut the 1.2 chassis no.s out and used them on the 172 or has he swapped all the bits over?
If it was just a throttle actuator he would have fixed it.
