As above, it certainly sounds like the cause. if it definitely goes away after 1500rpm ish then its most likely dephaser. its £160 on its own, the you've got belt changes so ur looking at a nice £500+ bill.
y does the rocker cover need to come off to inspect a dropped valve, cant you get 1 of those snap on camera things that go down the spark plug hole, thought that was fairly standard-ish equipment for a decent garage.
it depends if you want it brilliant or just so u dont really notice it. you could always use a touch up and flat it down a bit with some polish, it will take your eye away from it. but £160 doesnt seem too bad if its with the wheel repair.
im glad someone else thinks this, i had a load of work done cheap when i bought mine and as everyone else says it must be crap and it wont last. it still looks good and that was 2years ago. i went to a local bodyshop (the type that gets all the insurance repairs) and they wanted nigh on £500 to...
ye but a vinyl wrap would p**s you off everyday you opened the door and saw the original colour on the door shuts etc.
it can be done, dont get me wrong but thats some serious extra work, door off etc and the extra vinyl to wrap around the shuts and then around the back of the doors. pita.
not lieing as such, just maybe misinformed?? like i say i had just the esp & serv light, diagnosis - brake pedal sensor adjusted it, its been fine since.
If you are this type of person then answer me this, what the f**k is the deal with the lexus lights. they are absolute cack. i was nearly physically sick having to follow a mk2 ph2 clio with them for about a mile before. also the stupid bumper cut out where this is no exhaust to cut out for. WTF!!
try the brake light sensor, thats what happened on mine, same fault. above the brake pedal there is a black connector with wires coming out.
push brake pedal down, keep it down
twist connector out
there is a little punger on the connector, pull it all the way out
put the connector back and let...
go euro car parts or general traffic etc, they do 2 types ho that list for the car so its best to have urs handy when you order 1, about £14 6months ago. probably gone up now tho.
ive just bought 2 ps3's and put them on the back, they're fine. plenty of grip at the back from them, and it may be just me but they do seem quieter. according to the tests they are supposed to stop a little bit better in the wet also. always a bonus.
considering people say the dephasers never go wrong or whatever, there has been an awful lot that do this. mine was the same. and there are loads on here that have sorted the problem by changing the dephaser.
i thin its the best thing that you can do to a car. just look at the mk2 ph2 clio. some came with the black plastic but the extremes were colour coded. makes a world of difference i think.
so u asked them to do a service without asking what they were actually going to change. what oil did they use, call it £60(it is renault afterall) £5-£10 oil filter. air filter??? £5-£10 again. so in reality you have up to £80 worth of parts and then labour on top.
im starting to notice im putting more money in also. you tend to think well i will put £20 in, will last me all week. but you aint getting what you think as £20 worth nemore. its depressing
its not got a hole in the bottom of the mirror cap has it, cover just the hole with ur finger and see if its that, that way u could just fill the little hole
ye, thats what im getting at. STOP, SERV, ABS, ESP handbrake light. it resets when engine is off but comes on again 200yds down the road. its due to the bigger tyre confusing the computer. also engine management (lambda???) has also decided to come at. coincidence i think/hope
this is the result of a 182 having no spare wheel. i had to resort to a scrap tyre from a local garage but unfortunately the size is.....205/55/16. well it will be 2days before the pe2 comes so it will have to do for now.
the result of a council pothole, tyre went pretty much straight away with...
you can spray them yes, but if you want a really good job on them i would reccommend you plan a couple of days without the car unless you can get spares.
just a comment on the fitting of the rs192, i fitted it last week to my car without decat mind. it went straight on, the plus side was there is plenty of adjustment to be had if youre not happy with the initial fit. the tailpipes do grow yes but mine grew outwards (15-20mm max) and still sit in...
