and (in the intersts of balance) a fantastic bargain, although if you dont mind an import you can get the standard 172 for less than the UK list of a Cup. Still a fantastic bit of kit for under 13k though.

At my Renault dealer theres a notice on the service counter which states exactly what is and what is not covered by the 2nd and 3rd year warranty. Your dealer should have one, and that should settle things.

Agreed - they all do it. Always starts second time though. Throttle position makes no difference whatever when you turn the key as theres no cable - its all controlled by the ECU.

This from the Autoexpress website:
Youve heard of Renaults catchphrase Va Va Voom... well heres a clever Clio MPV with lots of Va Va Room! Hot on the heels of the Ford Fusion and Vauxhall Meriva comes Renaults assault on the mini-MPV market, and - as weve come to expect from the French company...

Technique:
1. Find a big puddle - get tyres nice and wet, then spin the wheels for all youre worth until the rubber is dripping off.
2. Rev the nuts off the car, drop the clutch and do your 0-60 run - grip will not be a problem.
3. Fit new tyres, start again at (1).
Once the engine is running you just push the button on the end on the (right-hand) stalk and it shows all it knows - trip meter, mpg, miles left in tank, average speed etc.
Power Engineering - Uxbridge I think. Will cost around £350 for a Superchip with custom fuelling map. http://www.powerengineering.co.ukhttp://www.powerengineering.co.uk

We dont have it, but then Shropshire is virtually a camera-free zone. Ive heard the same service on other radio stations though. The police publish locations of cameras on the internet I think, so presumably theyre convinced that letting motorists know where they are is an effective safety...
Have a good look around the interior and decide for yourself whether the wear and tear is really indicative of a 40k car. It really shouldnt be that bad at 40k. Do you have an opportunity to speak to the previous owner(s) to verify the mileage? £8750 sounds like quite a lot too. You could always...
Have a look at the thread I now have 180bhp in the main forum - its all explained in there. Basically it works great but you need to budget for a custom ecu map as well. We are supposed to be getting a good club discount from PerformanceFX on the Viper. There are places where you can get 10% off...

The last service I had I just told em - DONT CHANGE THE AIR FILTER ITS A PIPERCROSS. So they didnt. Saves money too - whats the point of paying for new air filters that you dont need? Mine also has a Magnex exhaust (hard to miss it) and its lowered. No hassle from the dealer at all, but then...
