I need some new alloys for my 172 (cos they are kurbed and beyond repair...by the previous owner I must add). I want some OZ superturismos or superleggeras. I just wanted peoples opinions on what size. I currently have 17's and the ride is a bit uncomfortable when going on bumps/pot-holes. Will...
Your on typhoon then. Not sure what it's like at Samlesbury, but you will notice the abundance of clio sports at warton. I've seen:
- 2 inferno 182's
- 2 black 182's
- 4 flame red 172's (inc mine)
- 1 Iceburg Silver 182
- 2 172 cups
- Williams
One of my mates bought a cooper s about 4 months ago and has spent about 3 grand on it. It's at about 225bhp and he says it's stupidly fast. He's had a few problems due to the mods he has made and had to make 800 mile round trip to a garage down south to sort it.
Cooper s will beat the 182 in...
W427 if that means anything to you lol. It's the new (ish) Nimrod building. Looks pretty flash from the outside compared to the other buildings on site that are all dated. Where are you going to be based on site? You an apprentice?
^^ that's true. I need some new wheels. I was going to get some 16 inch turinis but everyone has them. Does anyone know where to get a set of 16" OZ superlegs or superturismos inc. tyres and balancing?
Do you guys suggest thoroughly cleaning to car before applying any primer/base coat or laquer to the scratched surfaces? Do you know how long it takes to fully dry?
Cheers for the advice. I will get some this weekend. Hope it works.
If it's a different shade I'm not going to be happy. Should be alright though as it does asy Renault Flame Red
Hi everyone. Noticed quite a few scratches on my car :( not had it too long. I was just wondering where to get some touch up paint. My local halfrauds does this 3 pen set for a renault flame red, will this stuff be any good?? Not sure why it had 3 pens in it or what each one does?
Yeah I prefer mine to the ph1. But they are still nice. That clio will have throttle bodies, which would cost you almost 4 grand haha. Sounds nice though and will go like poo off a shovel. You can get a turbo conversion as well but thats about 6k takes you to 250bhp I think...cheap stuff :S If...
If I was you I would go for a nice, low mileage mk1. They look just as good as the facelift model and are apparently a fraction of a second quicker (hense them being called ph-quick). Thats not a big deal though. You could get a nice low mileage one for about 4.5-5k. Sounds a lot but you can't...
Your after a mk2 phase2? They are the dogs go-nads. Pick one up fairly cheap now as well. The phase 1 172 is nice as well, which is obviously even cheaper. With a few mods, it will look quality.
Whats your budget mate?
I was planning on spending a bit on my 172. Kinda wanna keep it std after this thread :( prob just get some new wheels and brakes then that's it!! Start saving for an Evo
I'm sure I saw a trophy on my estate yesterday. I live near Warton by the way. I always see clio sports near me cos I work at BAE and theres about 10 there
Just do it. You only live once, if you have no responsibilities, and you can't see you being tied down to anything in the next couple of years i.e. a house or a kid then it's cool. Just don't wrap it round a tree. Fuel costs are fairly decent for a 2 litre, I average 35mpg. Tax has gone up now...
I had a 1.2 X reg clio RN, electrics were poop. Indicators didn't work properly and it used to shake really bad when going over about 70mph. Recently got a ph2 172 and love it. It's about a million times nicer inside and obviously quicker etc. No problems as yet (touch wood). I'm 19 and my...
