a clio 172/182 F4R on ITB's with cams (428's in this case) timed up and mapped properly should do over 200bhp and 170lbs/ft as a MINIMUM, if it doesn't there is a problem somewhere!
why didn't you just tap into the OE loom "piggy backing" your way in and leave the OE ecu to run the dash...

you can't lose 30bhp for no reason which is what he's missing! That's SCREAMING cam timing at me straight away!!!!
OE ecu (i'm no electronics expert) is left to control the dash (temp gauge etc etc) and the fans
there might be more, but as i say, i don't do electrics!
sorry to say this dude, but if they've fitted your cams i'll bet £5 the timing is off
and as for removing the oe ecu? clowns

if the bolt comes loose it won't matter if its keyed or not, ifs going to be fucked either way!
they never changed it it turns out, its the same pulley with a key pressed in, it just pings out with a screw driver!!!
so renault designed the 172/182 WITHOUT a key for a reason ;)
^try full hard rear and full soft front, just as an experiment, that's how i run pretty much (yes i'm keeping the terminology simple, "hard" and "soft" is the incorrect term, but meh, its cliosport not Autosport!)
