Dream on Lusty!
Clearkote Carnuba Moose Wax amd even Nattys Blue look better and last longer than the Slightly Slight Wet both also at 12 quid a pop.
Clearkote
Nattys Blue
Most of the look in a wax is in created in the prep.
The Carnuba one looks better if used stand alone on flat colours as it darkens the slightyl paint more. If your planning on topping it with wax anyway it does not really matter which one you go for though as the look will be the same in the end.
Spray the Jeffs onto a MF cloth and then wipe onto the paint. I would not worry about masking up.
No wipe on and wipe of straight away after a few seconds
Sonax Gloss Shampoo from Vauxhall is hard to beat for the money. Duragloss Wash is also nice.
In Bulk - Megs Shampoo Plus or Hyper Wash
My Current choice and on Carnubas - Swissvax Autobath
My wash method on Black ( Overkill though!):
Pre Rinse with a hose then Pre Foam the car down with the Gilmour filled with Megs Shampoo Plus. Then bucket wash mutiple buckets of Car wash solution (depending on what wax the car is wearing) and a couple of lambswool mitts. It takes me about 3-4...
Jeffs Trigger is spray/wipe on and wipe off just like a quick detail spray. That no 45-60 mins per layer cure time and without the 12-24 hour wait between additional layers the EGP has means you can apply 3 or 4 layers of the Jeffs in the time you can do one coat of EGP.
It leaves to my eyes a...
b****cks Lusty - Out of all my waxes they nearly all look better - Period.
Come back and see me when you have used all the above waxes applied on 50/50 split panels alongside butter wet wax - plus against Swissvax Best of Show, Zymol Concours and Destiny and show me the photos of it looking...
Worth reading up on http://www.detailingworld.co.uk and http://www.autopia.org/ on the machine polishing techniques.
Just use a mild polish and polishing pad first of all and see hpw that sorts things.
Looking forward to seeing it in the Mag - Super Resin and Extra Gloss the wheels if you get time, will be worth the effort.
Grab some trye dressing and clean the glass really well too for the shoot.
I was wondering what kind of finish you would get painting in that garage.
With all that clear on there you should plenty to play with for a flat and polish though.
As long as it has been resprayed properly there should be no danger as long as your carefull.
Find a Pro with a paint thickness gauge to do it for you if you have issues.
After claying chances are you will need a polish rather than just the Glaze.
Working by hand, Megs Scratch X on spot defects and Autoglym Super Resin on the whole car.
A sealant wont really fit into the glaze/wax combo that you are planning. Using a sealant it will not bond to the glaze - What...
It will mean the loss the radio details etc on the upper screen display and the stalk controls next to the wheel without the use of the relevant adapter leads but will not cause any warning lights. The standard headunit has ISO connections so aftermarket units will just plug in.
