No airbox mods needed.
Filter wise, i think ITG are apparently about the best but not massively better than an equivalent K&N/Green etc element. Basically whatever cotton/foam element will work miles better than the IK.
Should be no movement really in top mounts.
As for the suspension, if it all bolted together without problems then they'll be the same.
Yep though, bit of a mystery as to how that has happened...if it was something to with the hubs then i'd still expect the steering wheel at 12 oc...odd...
Hmm...well if the strut is moving about like that it'll be your top mounts have worn...not a big job but still a pain as you'll need to take the shock off and dismantle it.
Changing the suspension won't have affect the camber so no worries on that.
It sounds as if you tracking has been...
Shocks should be fine...you'll know soon enough tho as it'll handle badly if they're caned.Don't know how you've knocked the tracking out though unless you touched the track rod ends? Easy enough to sort though...30quid at a garage. RE the steering wheel, just take it off and move it round a...
Rear discs are 238mm overal diameter.
Don't know where you're getting those sizes from...i'm assuming it's the size of the hub mounting section but it'll be the 140 x 75
No worries.
Rather expensive for a complete kit though IMO...50quid for -35mm springs and 100 for two new std front shocks will give the same performance and be cheaper. Also leaves cash for renewing you brake system?
You can't lower a williams 50mm as it'll scrub like mad on the arches and likely crack them too if you hit even so much as a fag end. Most you'll get away with is about 35mm...as for shocks, the std items are more than up to handling lowering springs so either use the existing ones or buy new...
No it won't fit...the 19 shaft is a couple of cm to long.
Track is different...its wider on the 19 16v and its the subframe that causes this (as obviously a 19 subframe won't fit a clio and vice versa).
LOL no worries - cheers anyway for the offer :-)
Theres also a powerflo near me...how much would they roughly charge to do a stainless direct copy of the std system do you think? (i'd check myself but they're closed)
I know but she wants standard unfortunately!
Already looked up the price on dialogies...100odd for the rear and a bit more for the centre section. I would normally say kwikfit too but i recently got badly shaped parts on my clio from there and am also a bit dubious of quality.
Hi mate, 54mm is the most common, 52mm is rarer and 58mm is super-rare.
Luckily i have 2 52mm spacing hubs sitting in the garage doing nowt as i upgraded to a 16v setup...one had a new bearing in the last 6 months and the other bearing i think is fine;
Yours if you want to make an...
My sisters 172's exhaust has gone...rear box but possibly the centre section too;
Wheres the best place to get a std replacement and why...also costs?
Opinions?
