can anyone tell me if this was part of the track? its the bypass road that runs from the right hander before you go up the hill to the carousel
i walked up it, steep is an understatement!
from the bottom looking up
from the top
header tanks are the same
you need to change dash loom and engine loom
mechanically everything bolts in fine, you can use the 1.2 subframe but you have to drill a hole in it
also 1.2 running gear is not a problem (upgrade the brakes though)
i would be checking if they actually changed the timing belt too to be honest, they've fed you a load of b****cks about the aux belt
i'm over birmingham way if you won't me to have a look
haha, yeah the orange clio is Michaels, i had a go in it round the roads and its bloody quick, fastest mk1 clio i've driven, he got past the Reyland car (MG audi turbo thing)
i flew over saturday morning to meet up with trackklub denmark, so i wasn't driving so took the camera instead! (note i'm not a pro and this was my first attempt at taking pictures of fast moving objects!)
i've got loads more, i'll post them up as i work my way through them
well the renault cam pulley tool is a bit odd i found at first, as its still possible to move the pulleys even when you've cranked the locking tool up tight
sexy vibrating snap on torque wrench has its uses!
benji the exhaust pulley is 30nm + 86deg (approx) IIRC? how does all 7stone on china man manage to do that? you must be hanging off the thing! always wondered that ;)
i always check the timing first as a matter of course as i'm pulling the thing apart, its surprising how many are out really!!
i think personally the "easy route" is intended for the non VVT F4R engines
well a gaggle of specialists and motorsport engineers/engine builders (one of which is renault sport france authorised) do it that way, you decide fella!
hence why i always bang on about the mickey mouse tools being s**t, a) they bend and b) they don't have the pulley tool
