i still don't see what's wrong with a standard pannel filter, grass track and rallyX boys use them and they have a little bit more than 200bhp, the GT3 RSR racers use a boggo pannel filter
its a clio, not an LMP1 racer, sorry chaps but i do not see the point in speding £350 on an induction kit where you could have an awesome setup for under £100
as i've said for years a 200bhp clio with an average driver will be ebarrased by a standard clio with a well trained experienced driver...
which means your pads are low, DO NOT just top up the brake fluid, replace the pads
brake fluid doesn't get used up, consumed etc etc, there is always a set amount in the system, when the pads are low the pistons in the calipers hold a larger volume of fluid and therefore the resivoir level is...
might need 5mm spacers, but i doubt it
we ran ET38 (i think) with 205/50 15's and that car was LOW with an 8mm wider rear track and it scrubbed a bit (only at the bottom of paddock hill at Brands and through eau rouge at spa, and on occasion down the A4141 in birmingham ;))
so with mk1 172...
we ran stock rods with high comp pistons with upto 8k rev limit, but we had the limiter set at 7.5K 99% of the time
never had a problem, the rod bolts will need replacing with ARP's though
i know there's no issues, yoz's was in the bay
i've only ever seen one really neat install, and that was the first ever uk TB'd 172 (roamers)
that was done by chris from power engineering (now at torque of the devil)
he's doing my V6, and even though you really won't see much, i'm making him...
and the ecu still fitted in the engine bay :(
that kit is 95% there, just if only the ecu was out of the way in the glovebox
(yeah i know the arguements, it would just look 100000times neater)
i've only seen a few clios with uprated pumps, 2 had audi TT engines running silly bhp, and the others are the k-tec/bbpt turbo cars
the stock pump will do 260bhp, IIRC its 3.5bar
