if you're feeling a bit dangerous, then you can do it without, but on your head be it!!!
i've done it a few times and ended up spending an hour finding the bits that flew off!
its the plenham chaber, NOT the rocker cover
easy peasy to remove, all 10mm bolts
the join between the plenham and inlent manifold has a crush gasket, and a few ££
the rear silencer blew out its packing after about 12months, the pipe connections (the little built in alen screws) siezed, and the rear pipe into the rear box wasn't the best design (hence the reason why ours sits as it sits)
apart from that it was awesome, but as i say they stopped making...
our's is based on the Supersprint race system, seeing as its no longer being produced we thought we'd carry the torch onwards (it may have since gone back into production)
it has its faults, we've tried to remove all the faults of the suspersprint out of our system

we proved ourself at FCS and every R-sport trackday we go to, last year we had no powersteering and had to shortshift to 4th past the tower for noise, and we were "only" 1.5sec slower than your fastest lap!
