Here and there the car travels around 130 mph (weather permitting). Late braking as much as possible. So a pad that can stand this and doesn't give off sparks that'll damage my wheels and paintwork, and that WON'T warp my discs.
I used EBC sometime back, can't say I was that impressed with the...
Bought a pair of Brembo Max discs off e-bay last night. Good price at £90 including postage.
Just need to choose the pads now.
Any other suggestions apart from OE pads and carbon metallic items?
Just returned from the gym. 0 degrees apparently. Noticeable power increase than earlier today when ambient temp was around 4 degrees.
Suprised there was such a difference. No mods to the car at all.:S
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks for the advice. Really keen on the idea of em', but not the damage caused by sparks to my paintwork and wheels.
Will have to settle for second best.:(
Thanks Fred for the advice.:)
The performance REALLY does appeal!:D Damage to the finish of my paintwork and wheels does not.:(
So I guess I'll have to take second best.:(
What are the closest options below carbon mettalic pads?...DS 2500?. Not too keen on EBC stuff.
Ah the SR 3. What an absolutely wonderful machine!!!
I tried to buy one a few years back from Radical themselve's. After going out for a passenger ride in one.:D  :D  :D .
Can only describe the performance as a sensory overload. It wouldn't stop accelerating through it's gears...
It's possible I'm sure, but ask yourself how many you've seen with the both?
That answers the question.
If it was definately worth doing it would've happened many times. A waste of time, effort and money.
I used EBC Greenstuff a few years back. As you say not a great deal different from standard.
Then went to Ferrodo DS 2500. Definately an increase in bite but still got fade and discs eventually warped, though they were Black Diamond combi items.
Very interested to try out some of these...
In your opinion Fred if I use pads manufactured with carbon will these damage my wheels due to sparking?
I clean the wheels regulary anyway, just wondering if they become pitted despite the fact of regular cleaning?
I don't mind cleaning my wheels every two to three days.
Though I don't want them damaged by the use of a high performance brake pad!
As the sparks fly off while braking, this is causing damage to the finish of the wheel?????:S .
I used to use DS 2500 on my Integra. Thought they were ok from cold??
You say I need to clean my wheels regulary? That's not a problem but do the PF 97's spark? If so, do these sparks damage the finish/laquer on the wheels when braking heavily?
Thinking about a set of wheels sometime in the next few months.
I know it's overdone but the Turini's in white will match the paintwork and suit the car.
Wondered what other multispoke wheels are available and who's using them?
Any pictures?
Thanks.:)
When I bought the car back in June I had two puctures within the first two months of ownership. On both occasions I was lucky the foam sprayed inside the tyre, combined with air inflation allowed time for a new tyre to be purchased.
I had heard a space saver available from another manufacturer...
Keen to get hold of space saver for my 182 Cup as a spare to carry in the boot.
Really don't want to carry a standard wheel since it takes up too much room and weight.
Can a space saver be purchased?
If so, where from?
Comments appreciated.:)
I use a 32".
I like to sit no more than one metre from the screen when gaming.
When watching T.V. I like to sit about three metres from the screen, wished I bought the 37". The 32" is just a tad too small.
