I've heard of these firework antics from the Lorraine's. Like the idea of em' although I'm pretty keen to keep the paintwork and wheels in the condition they're in. If I used them they'd deteriorate the paintwork on my wheels and body?
Contradicting views on the Blue's. I thought biting from...
Gotta be the Trophy!!!!:)
Renault let themselves down with the the curb weight of the new Clio. It's terrible!!!:(
MPG will be better with the Trophy also.
Just like Integra Type R. DC 2 is the REAL driver's car not the DC 5.
Any warping issues so far?
What sort of performance increase can I expect? Pedal feel? Bite etc?
Not too sure about the Blue's, more of a track day pad?
After researching the potential uprgrade to 4-pot brakes I've decided just go not to. Seems there's issues getting the brakes bled properly and the pedal feel doesn't appeal even when they are working correctly.
So I've decided to go for an uprated disc and pad combo.
I've heard Brembo's Max...
Doesn't sound like there's anything to be wary of. At fives it's to be changed anyway.
Does anything look like it's been moved/replaced in regards to the engine. Any tell tale signs of work to repair what's necessary if the cam belt has snapped?
I paid £8050 for my 05' 182 Cup with 16K on the clock. I felt I got a good deal as for the care and attention the car had received. Very nicely looked after.:) :)
Though I wouldn't say I got it cheap, though not expensive either. Depreciation hits hard in the first two to three years with...
Get it sprayed or fix the existing one if you still have it.
I've never liked carbon fibre panels, unless the whole body is made from them. It looks odd having one panel in a different colour as opposed to the rest of the car.
Also it's something the Max Power/Fast Car idiots subscribe to...
Apart from the Saxo VTS and the Laguna all the rest are unecessary. Do you get some sort of pleasure from having a hum-drum fleet.
Please enlighten us.....share the perversion....:S
Mine are following the same symptoms as your's. There's a grinding sound, but much more noticeable at low speeds, though it is still there at higher speeds.
Suspect, as I've been told, that my discs are corroding. Now on 27K, still using 1st set of pads and discs.
Apparently the corrosion...
I had a N/A 2.0 GTi a fair few years back. I wouldn't say it's quite as quick as my 182 Cup, not too far off though.
Grip and balance was pretty good when I opted for Koni dampers. Tended to swap ends when right at the limit before the upgrade. Grip and traction was good otherwise, but my...
They certainly look the biz. So with a progressive feel, the pedal is soft for a ceratin amount of travel then bites there after?
Also I've heard issues can arise with air in the system and not easy to rectify?
Fair point. If the increase/decrese in power is minimal I'd probably settle for a high flow item.
Just want to get the best from the BTB exhaust since I'd like it to develop it's proven 6 h.p.:)
Will be fitting my BTB exhaust soon and wondered if I should use a high flow or de-cat pipe?
Which one would give the most gains for a BTB exhaust? Would prefer something rather noisy to balance out the quietness of the exhaust.
All comments appreciated.:)
Sorry to hear about you old chap falling off his bike, too much xmas tipple?
I wash the motor as I find I can't sit still for too long. Otherwise I'd be cycling too.
I've washed whatever car I've had every xmas day I believe for the last ten years. It's tradition!:) and tradition MUSN'T be broken.
Xmas day is like Sunday with bonuses....ok if your a kid (at heart perhaps) but those bonuses wear off as the day wears on and boredom sets in:dapprove: .
