I'm using a 500D, I find the high ISO performance absolutely fantastic to be honest! These weren't shot through glass, I was up in the stands.
I've watched the Stingrays a couple of times because my best mate Matty Davies plays for them so I get in for free :D It's a fantastic spectator sport...
Hi guys,
Second time I've shot Ice Hockey, I find my 55-250 IS a bit limiting because of the slow aperture at the long end, but I found that most times I could shoot at 1/400-500 so no too bad. These were at ISO3200.
Anyway here's the pics, would love some CC from you all!

Lol @ all the fanboys trying to skirt around the problems and make it like it's not a big deal nor is it Apple's fault. If some of you could see what you were actually saying without your Apple glasses on you would probably laugh at yourselves like the rest of us are!
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
FFS it's zero two!!!!
Apologies the suspense is getting to me and I just had to release it at someone/thing.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Rofl! Women. My better half says she won't have an iPhone because she won't make use of all it's capabilities, which is a fair comment but I say to her it's not what you use, it's what you CAN use!!!!!!111111/////
"When everything is HD" will never exist because there is so much stuff to date that hasn't been filmed in SD that will be replayed over and over for years to come that HD will still be HD.
Then after that the name HD will just be phased out because it will be the norm
Re: iPhone 4G (No longer rumours)
Haven't the release dates of previous iPhones always been on the same date every year so far? If so surely it looks like it will be the same this time.
Hi guys and gals,
We're looking into buying a projector at our Golf Club for the World Cup. At the moment we only have a 40" Samsung LCD TV and for a room this size (6m x 12m) it's way too small.
Only thing is, it's a very light room with quite a few windows, would a projector still be any...
Hmm, I've been told by someone else (guy who owns a security firm) that a better capture card would do the job. He said that it's not "sending 25fps to the card" it's just sending an analogue stream of the image. I was thinking of it kind of like the comparison of 35mm photography converted to...
No, this is not how security cameras work. A security camera transmits an analog signal to the capture card which then converted into a digital format - this particular card does 720x576 @ 25fps.
What I want is a capture/editing card that will do more FPS.
Effectively the only limitation is...
I'm looking for some advice on security cameras.
Our story is that we are a golf club and our Professional has 4 security cameras set up in his private teaching room which link up to his computer via an external capture card and then firewire to the computer. These are used to capture...
To be fair if he's hit a wall at 35mph then I can quite believe that's what it would look like. Remember most crashes don't go from 35 to 0mph in a millisecond because the car is bouncing, rolling etc, this looks like a full on head on crash.
Meh, happens with most subscription based businesses. If you've ever been in a business like that then you would know it's perfectly acceptable. Entice a new customer to try the product, then the quality of the product will keep them. (That's the idea)
I was hoping the opposite, that Sky HD would become free but 3D would be £10 a month. That would never happen though because they would instantly lose all the £10s who h are paid by most of us HD subscribers so I guess I was dreaming!
Re: iPhone 4G Rumours
Higher resolution screen would be nice to be honest, all the HTC's nowadays have 4 times the amount of pixels than an iphone and are absolutely crystal clear. Other than that for me it would be a better camera, a flash for the camera and infra red.
We pay £684 and that's for the full package + HD, and no I don't think its too much at all, the HD movies and sport are awesome, and I spend just as much on that as I do Taxing and Insuring my car and spend more hours watching Sky than I do driving!
You said it was a s**t idea! Whether it catches on is a different matter entirely, and we weren't discussing that.
Whether it takes off or not is purely down to marketing.
I have no idea what this means.
Because the principles are exactly the same. A new concept which makes the old concept redundant because its easier. It's not rocket.
Ask yourself this - If it's such a crap idea why are 95% of people in this thread saying its a great idea? And whilst we're...
Hmm, your indexing should have finished now unless you have a massive amount of data on there. Use google chrome, its much faster than IE and better than firefox :D
Edit: Just noticed that on IE it takes a couple of seconds to show the new page of the tab when I open up the tab. Never noticed...
You mean about the network plugs yes? I agree in an ideal world I would have network points all over the house, but that's my point - it's more convenient just to have wireless. (albeit in the case of wireless it's not as good)
It's called CONVENIENCE, which is precisely what the whole world of technology is based around. Lol @ putting extra sockets in. Why the hell would I spend the morning putting new sockets in if there is a neat little option of putting multiple plugs into one with ease?
I suppose you think power...
