Im dropping the bare wheels off at bloors in the morning, said they should be done by early next week...im in no rush....
then im gona get the tyres put on at a local place with a guy i know i think....although...

nah mate should be fine. They were black already, just a rattle can job....but they are chipped alot now, want a hard wearing finish that dosent need constantly touching up...

Williams wheels off, tyres swapped to turbines....
They are going to be powdercoated tommorow, then a set of new tyres put on them....ready to go onto the hybrid when its road-worthy :)
get a valver shell so if you did fit the 172 running gear (only wishbones, hubs and brakes fit) you need to machine the hubs to fit the mk1 shocks too....
mk1 1.2 shell with 172 front running gear the wheels wont fit in the arches, so get a valver shell so the wheels will fit...
then need...
i took mine down to a local garage when i lost my key, used a special tool smashed onto the face of the nut, then bites into it as they turn, removing the key.....some places also said i would never get them off, it took the guy 5 minutes to do all four with the right tool

yeah, i was cropping my 70-200 shots by nearly half and the image quality for web use was still brilliant....id say better than a full uncropped shot with the kit lens imo

yeah as matteh said, T-piece off where the oil pressure switch usually is, run the valver sender, wire back to valver dials....
taught myself....along with help from people on here!
seperate dials usually, which show oil level, temp and pressure...
i removed the...
L series are only really expensive when you go mega mega mega big, or large fixed prime....
my 70-200mm F4 L was only circa £300 off ebay, was perfect length for oulton, other tracks was a bit short though....sold it for £370 six months later....L series hold their value so well....

Few more bits done today....My wishbones never came with these plates, and the balljoints used to work themselves loose in the past, so I wanted to get hold of some. I decided to take them off the blue valver, as that has williams widetrack on it (same wishbones as 172)...

not vag (audi/volkswagen/etc), its just OBD2 that ive wired into the loom ive been making...plugged the RSTuner unit into it, and it worked :)

next few days....got to sort that mess of wiring yet and all the perm/igition lives, to give the clocks power to see if it works.....
got a problem with the rad not getting warm at all, either dodgy thermostat or air in the system? trying to figure it out before i dump...

As said....got something working today, it is indeed OBD II and the RSTuner unit....
Ignore the dirty Mac screen, the heatshield rattle, and the absolute mess of wiring...lol

yeah, i thought that like on the williams etc, if it dosent cure itself after a bit of a run il take the cover off and put them in diesel....
now its running on the custom loom, well, only 3/4 wires properly connected, lol... got to get cracking to get the clocks...

also got a fuel leak from the joint 172-to-valver line, meh...
runs though, only took 2 months

build front suspension back up, loads of other bits and bobs engine wise...
then the whole interior, paint,cage,wiring,seat mounts, steering column, clocks...list goes on

Timed up, built up, new thermostat housing on with the hole for the additional sensor in a better place.....going back in tommorow :)

Going to time it up tommorow now i know how to properly and then put it in on friday...
