Yours not sorted yet mate ? I cant believe it still had just over half a tank of fuel left after going on track. Mpg had only dropped to 26? drove home on the fuel left in and still got 50 miles left on the range. Runs on fresh air compared to the meganes !
After 5-6 laps the power was not there with the PBS, was suffering a bit of fade and spongey brake pedal. Felt like when you work oem pads too hard and gas causes the pedal to go spongey. Very average at best quite overhyped, pads were broken in properly so should be working to spec,
Got a set...
Daily dci was starting to look a little unloved as not been cleaned for at least 8 weeks. Give it a wash, quick decontamination, polish with SRP by hand and a coat of Finish Kare 1000p wax. Trims had a quick coat of AG bumper gel on as thats all i had in stock, need to get some more gtechniq c4...
Not sure really, sound deadening was in good nick. I thought it was a poor quality aftermarket bonnet but appeared to be oem with 2004 sticker on when removed.
Won a couple of goodies in the raffle ?
The aftermath brake dust central
Front wheels
Brake pedal had a lot of travel and handbrake had a lot of clicks so whipped drums off and reset the crappy self adjusters and checked shoes. Quite a bit of meat has worn off the shoes so adjusted the bar...
Cs Festival done !
All cleaned up before
Quick stop on the a19 for a Costa(lot)
Brimmed the tank with Tesco 99 at Scunthorpe, 38-39mpg no problem on way there
Typically rained most of the journey there so ruined most of the cleaning efforts
Kangoo went fairly well on track - no massive...
If the only option is going through insurance you need to think about if you want the car to have a cat marker on it. New wing and paint wont cost much.
Checked out Kangoo brakes yesterday and cleaned wheels. Rear shoes taken up brake pedal travel is ok again and wheels back to white
Cleaned the 225 and give it a coat of collinite 476s. Feel a bit sorry for it as hardly been used this year and its an epic car. New battery later current one has...
Looks tidy ? Get the exhaust hot before trying to removing lambda sensor, get a ring spanner over the wiring connector so you have a good purchase on it. Shock with hammer if needs be
Sport front grill looks miles better than the original & should be able to pick up a 2nd hand one for next to nothing. 172/182 steering wheel again another cheap mod and a lot better than stock. After that lowering springs and wheels job done.
Awesome weekend big thanks to everybody that made it happen?? good to catch up with the regulars and meet some new people.
Had a riot in the Kangoo, brakes a little worse for wear but apart from that no issues
It needs to go when i get some spare money. I was having issues with non start when i first got the van, I must have cranked it on and off 15-20 times when fault finding and it never showed any sign of going flat?
New kunifer brake pipe and more Motul rbf600 fluid and we are back up and running. Test drive lastnight on shopping run brakes feel great.
Bought a bargain pipercross panel filter for £18 new off ebay and fitted the cold air feed to the airbox tonight. I would have routed feed behind battery...
Managed to get a few hours on it on Sat
Vibratechnics engine and gearbox mounts on, excuse the rusty bolts did not have time to tart up
Espace V6 airbox on. Tight as feck to get in even with ph1 airbox pipe ! Just need to connect a cold air feed to it - @Ricardos has kindly sent me some over so...
Stick a few sport bits on it, grill, xenon headlamps, set of lowering springs, wheels & sport steering wheel etc all cheap mods and make quite a difference. Heres my dci rocking similar mods
As in previous post i had issues with the camber up front. I set it myself last year by elongating the top strut holes on the shocker with a carbide burr (oldskool way same as the gt turbo cup racers done it).
When i set it last year i done some maths and worked out how much the holes needed to...
