Apples and Oranges, two different techniques for two different things.
Leftfoot braking is for changing the balance of the car through corners (eg for correcting understeet).
Heel and Toeing is for matching engine revs with the gearbox when changing down, and unless you are using straight...
Possibly the difference between profiled and non-profiled ends?
Is it the cheap one from ebay the other day by any chance for £499?
Let me know how you get on with it, I nearly got the one off ebay myself.
The biggest PITA is the sunroof really. Would need to replace the glass or preferably weld something in place.
Weld in cage would go someway to reduce the ridgity lost from having a stupid hole cut in the roof I guess :)
Thanks for the quick reply!!
Plus you answered my next question, which was if not is there a difference in the subframes :)
I assume the RS models have longer wishbones aswell
Are there any differences between a Ph1 172 shell and a normal Ph1 clio shell?
And similary are there any differences between a Ph2 182 shell and a normal Ph2 clio shell?
Ah that sounds good
Got a seperate ECU for the engine anyway, so that wont be a problem; rest shouldnt be either as rev counter is a Stack driven off the coil, and engine runs TBs anyway so will just have to move everything there over
Have got a sadev sequential box + RS shafts so will...
How feasible is it to put a Williams type engine into 172?
Basically I am wondering if it is going to be possible to put my Williams derived engine + sadev gearbox from my PhI rally car into a PhII shell
Later versions of the box have a cannister thing you can remove to change the gear ratios's easily.
Yes you need different driveshafts, and theyre not cheap.
We get all our proper lobro joints and shafts from SWR.
We're also having problems setting it up well, although if you arn't...

Does anyone know if its possible to get a right hand drive, power steering quick rack for a phase 1 clio? Or a conversion kit for an existing rack?
Havent been able to find one for a right hand drive car so far.

I have no doubt the 1/4 mile times will explain all, the first 13 sec N/A clio on this site NO DOUBT
Depends on what you count really :)
Exactly the same happened to ours, although didnt self destruct quite as bad. Same cylinder, either a conrod bolt snapped, or it overheated and seized as apparantly that cylinder is last to be oiled or something.
Put the rod through the side of the block, and ever so slightly bent one of the...

on a 20v turbo?it was a particuarly bad case on this car, as they dont normally loose quite that much power, but due to the trumpets basically touching on the side, it made life terrible for them.
The 20VT is my road car, the throttle bodied...

For a quick solution socks were run as a temporary solution for filtration, however they suck...in a bad way and power lost was in the region of almost 40bhp!!!!!!!!A custom filter has been made to the measurements required, and now a custom...
Yeah we have a nice alu rad.
Truth be told, our airbox is now largely redundant since we started using individual foam socks over the trumpets instead of any other filters.
If you get fed up of manual steering though, id recommend an electic pump; remarkably easy to fit, and I think the...
Question: Are you planning on fitting an airbox over the trumpets or just having them exposed.
The reason I ask is that with a combination of the already small space between the front crossbrace and engine and a great big carbon airbox we couldnt get the alternator, water pump and power...
