i personally think you making them sound harder to do than they actually are, at the end of the day its JUST a twin cam engine and if he fits heads all day he is going to know about whats involved with engine timing etc
they sound crap because the ones you have heard them on have been electronic speakers!
you cant get a weasel to actuate a dump valve because of the way they are aspirated they dont have the vacum off boost.
there are torque settings for pretty much every bolt on a car, even with various torque wrenches and access to torque settings for 99.9% of vehicles i dont bother with any except hub nuts etc or you would be there all day

that was trade price i was quoted and also includes removing +refitting the tyres if you can get that done yourself it was only 37 a wheel as i phoned from work, they need your wheels for 3 days
dont know about you but i dont think i'd have got the bushes in without the press maybe if you jumped on it it may have slotted in to place but would have been difficult.
you needed a press to get the out? i fitted mine at work just held the mount on the edge of the bench and 1 tap of a hammer had it out
i needed a press to get the fookers in though !!
car wont crank either, hazards wont work?
had EXACTLY the same thing on a 1.2 16v today, was a fuse in the box at the side of the dash, double check the fuses.
anybody have any tricks to stop a sub box sliding around in the boot? every time i chuck it round a corner a bit enthusiasticly the sub goes walkabouts, theres not really alot to anchor the thing to in the boot and im thinking if i just velcro it down it will just slide the boot floor cover...
did mine today, 47 quid and literally took all of 5 minutes to fit, renault told me it was a 1.5 hour bumper off job, undo top screws unclip a couple of clips and pull it out :S
For a 1.2 16v, dont want anything over the top looking and want to pay somewhere around the 200-250 mark
looking at the ktec ones (mainly because thats all i can find) which look to be fairly subtle, i want to releive the bumper a bit to set the tailpipe in the bumber but dont know if i will be...
the last half of that is bang on, detonation (or pinking) is fuel igniting under compression alone (no spark) , this happens whenever compression is raised either physical compression or via forced induction,, high octane fuel has a higher resistance to pre ignition hence allowing more...
well thats just stupid, rather than spitting your dummy and not bothering to reply prove me wrong!
just because you have run it for however long you have does not prove your point, i know for a fact the reasons behind using high octane fuel its exactly the same in 2stroke tuning aswell, the ONLY...
of course theres a big market for it in drag racing, run those engines on cheap fuel and they would detonate like mad,
and to get 300 bhp out of a turbo lump its going to be running its fair share of boost, hence needing high octane to overcome the detonation.
why do you think drag cars run...
a map sensor measures manifold pressure and a potentiometer is basically a variable resisotor used in management systems in places such as throttle postition etc, they only time you are going to benifit from high octane fuel is if you actually need it, ie running high compression/ high boost on...
i've changed a PAS rack on an 8v clio and autodata stated something around 4 hours to change it and if i remember correctly it was 6 hours with aircon (for some reason)
but it came out fairly easily with the subframe still up and was done in an hour minus tracking,,
