i disagree with the statement it will ruin your engine, theres physically nothing for it to ruin, it can ruin the cat if it makes the car run overly rich bit it dosn't because the ecu is only set to reckognise i certain set of resistance vaules from the sensor in standard form so its going to be...
Have had a good search about and found loads of threads on the dash conversion but none on actually changing the colour of the upper bit of the trip computer dash,, is it doable and could anybody do me a favour and let me know exactly what i need to buy to do the conversion, going to buy the...
no you've missed the point, all it will cost me is a headgasket set and cambelt kit, all work will be done by myself and machine work will be done by a freind. was planning on doing cambelt and poss headgasket so i figured while it was off and because i have the facilitys to do so would it be...
right, my 1.2 16v is getting ready for its cambelt change soon and the other night i had it up on the ramp and ive noticed the head gasket is leaking oil (i know they all do but it seems a bit much).
out of curiosity really and because i have the facilitys to do so im wondering what i can get...
i was in a bit of a rush fitting my headlights, a bit of force goes a long way, 2 plastic screw clips under bonnet holding grille on, pull wheelarch liners out the way 2 10mm nuts holding bumper on, 2 torx 20's on bumper in wheelarch, then get hold of the bottom of the bumper and give it a...
it dosn't have a choke as such, it has a cold running map in the ecu thats regulated by the coolant temp sensor, could be that.
coilpacks sometimes break down only when hot
mechanically an airleak sometimes will only show up when the engines hot due to expanding metal
just delay putting it in reverse for a second after pushing the clutch down,,
if i clutch then straight in to reverse it crunches horrible but if you wait literally a second no crunch at all
dont need a clutch alignment tool no, they make it harder if anything in my oppinion, you can line it up by hand through the 3 gaps on the pressure plate, peice of piss.
you need to slacken the clutch cable off if you want the bite lower.
dont know about drills but i've got a dewalt 1/2 impact gun i use day in day out and have done for about 6 months now and its great, been knocked off ramps run over god knows what and it just wont die!
they sell them?!
last i heard they were in development at bailey i think it was
must be honest though i thought it was a crap idea then and a crap idea now :nono:
mines got a gearbox noise aswell its only done 40k
sounds almost like a faint tappety noise when the windows are up and its only when the box is spinning
then theres theres the niggly little fact that it cant physically work, no vacum to actually actuate the thing hence the reason for vacum pumps to power diesel brake servos
does the subframe need to come down, can the box not be dragged to one side enough to get your hand in there?
last one i did like that was a citreon relay van,, my 1.2 needs a clutch soon but if its subframe down fooked if im doing that on my day off il be taking it to mr clutch
on some of the 911 models the ceramic discs are a 5k extra, certain porsche calipers arent alot to buy
dosnt always work out cheaper though using parts off other cars, did pads and discs on a ford racing puma and the customer had a bill of nearly 450 quid !
the electrical system will only draw as much current as it needs, when you talk about a more powerfull alternator its just amount of amps it can charge at if need be, get a multimeter on the battery and see if it is charging etc.
i think your problem regarding the missfire is more fuel system...
basically after a bit of a homemade rear box for the clio, ive got a magnex ss backbox from a fiesta turbo laying about that im thinking of doing something with,, ideally what i want do do is cut the tailpipe off and weld it to the original box (and cut the bumper to fit it)
what i want to know...
