nope petrols pre 1992 are an idle emmisions check, petrols post 1992 are a cat test consisting of 2500-3000 fast idle then a natural idle emmisions check
diesels pre 1979 are visual smoke check, post 79 are tested using short full throttle accelerations and smoke opacity is measured.
its only done like that on petrol tests, they are always completed
alot of mot testers dont do the deisel test as its such a pain in the arse you get drift errors etc then your smoke meter clogs up it can take forever to get it to go through
petrol cat tests are done like that, constnant 2500 to 3000rpm
deisel tests are done using short full throttle accelerations and it measures the opacity of the smoke, before you go for your test give it a good caining round the block it will help the reading alot (and save the tester having to...
ive got a spanking new turbo off a kangoo in the bottom of my box i keep staring at with a funny look every time i open it
its got to be doable if you can bolt a turbo to a crappy 1.3 hcs ford engine and run it on standard management albeit at 5psi it must be doable fairly cheaply

at the moment i have a sub connected to the sub output (i like this because i can turn off/controll the sub through the headunit)
i want to put a second amp in to run the front...
had a similar fault before actually yes but it was on a vauxhall, turned out to be a knock sensor, it was detecting what it thought was a knock at high rpms and kicking it in to safe mode
i dont agree with that at all, i bought some xenon wannabe halogen bulbs from ebay (halogens painted blue from what i can see) and they do give off a nice white light as opposed to yellow and are a fair bit brighter, when the fogs are on with the headlights the fogs look a horrible yellow colour...
i used heat resistant spray paint on mine, didnt take calipers off just masked all round car and masked brake pipes and bleed nipples
did a mates car using brush paint and wasn't really happy with how it came out bit uneven and didnt really dry properly much prefer the sprayed look
i wonderd about one of those,, may order one up from renault,
bit of a sod now though as its mounted in that position and i reckon if i get one of those surrunds i'll have to move the box further up
Well i've had this magnex backbox laying around for ages it was in fairly good condition other than the last person that removed it cut it off about half inch from the backbox (and the minor fact its actually for a fiesta rs turbo)
but me being me thought i'd have a crack at fitting it last...
no rear wiper is not testable in any way shape or form, he may however if he is feeling really harsh fail it for the motor arm sticking out the back (sharp edge)
