No, the yellow/amber side lights that all cars have (exc new audi's) in conjunction with the main beam.
Im not sure, I think I want to keep the standard look so nobody can tell whats under the bonnet!! ;)
Yeah I had to change the standard bulbs over a little while back when one blew and I swear it must have taken 1hr to do. Im going to hire a midget next time with small hands to help!! lol
Just been thinking about maybe upgrading my standard amber sidelights to LED white ones to match the xenon headlights??
Just wondering what do people think about LED's over the standard bulbs before I go through the ballache of changing them??? :approve:
I used a plasti-kote clear primer once it was sanded down and then I used 4 coats of plasti-kote metalic paint in blue but you can get loads of different colours!!
I thought id take advantage of the good weather over the weekend and do something iv been putting off for ages.........painting my calipers and giving the wheels a good clean!!
I decided to go from red to a much more subtle gold colour.
So here they are with a few random pics after a 4hr...
To be honest iv always been a fan of Meguires stuff, you can buy more expensive bits but I really like the meg stuff as general all round cleaning materials!!!
How are you finding the Simota, I had one previously to my Powertec kit but didnt really like it. Great noise but felt like it made the car more sluggish.
Such a tight fit too!!! :)
When I used to have a 1.2 I got the Ktec induction kit with relocation pipe to put it right behind the front grill that was quite a good roar.
I have a Powertec kit on my 172 now and that is really loud, not sure if they do a kit for 1.2 though???
Have you checked the engine mount bolt under the battery because I had the same but lifted the battery out and tightened the bolt and it was sorted????
Mine have never worked, I can hear the motor turning over when you hold the stalk in for a few seconds though.
Any ideas on whats wrong or how i get them off to have a look at any blockages etc????
Yeah thats it just make sure everything is nice and tight and you should be fine.
Happened to me a few times driving along and then the temp gauge goes through the roof!!! lol
I had one, didnt really like it but you have to push the top lip down so it sits under the ridge on the front grill but be careful as the the outer ring that goes around the outside is sharp and if you push it too far down rubs on the coolant hose and splits it!!!
Yeah I was a bit sceptical after seeing the american promotional video on you tube (very cheesy) but glad I did cos it really bought the paint work up well and the polish and wax just made it even better!!!!
Il put some pics up tomorow as I only have pics of my re-painting the calipers job at the moment. Went from boy-racer red to a nice subtle gold colour, looks really good with the silver. Il take some pics when I get back from work!!
I used the meguires smooth surface clay kit today for the first time!!!
I have never clay'd a car before and wow what a difference it made, I always clean my car every weekend but this has really brought the paintwork back up to scratch!! I followed this up with a good polish and wax to seal...
