Hello folks,
Just wanted to reach out to you all and let you know I can supply Gripper Diffs cheaper than pretty much anyone else, and not just for the Clio!
Whatever they list on the website, I can sort out supplying. 👍🏻
You guys know my reputation, and I’ve lost count of how many I’ve...
As most of you will all know, I’ve probably stripped and rebuilt more jc5 boxes than I’ve had wanks (lots of!).
So thanks to Renault stopping making the selector forks for 1st/2nd gear and 3rd/4th becoming increasingly harder to get hold of, it pretty much spells the end of the line for jc5...
Hello folks.
Unfortunately I have to inform you that the large diff bearing has become NLA from Renault. The manufacturer of the bearing is SNR and they have discontinued the bearing also.
There’s still some available to buy and I have purchased a few, but it’s getting closer now more than...
Saw you on Saturday afternoon heading down the A51. Cliosport sticker in the back window and the car was being trailered. Tow car was a Land Rover.
Tidy looking inferno tbh!
Anyone on here handy with PCB’s? I have a board that sends out a PWM signal to imitate a RC receiver. But the signal I need it to put out as well is a PPM signal.
I’ve looked online for PWM to PPM converters, but the ones available aren’t really suitable. Ideally I would like to...
Evening folks! Hope you’re all ready for Santa to deliver you some pressies!
There’s potential that in 2022 I will need someone who races a mk2 Clio to be a Guinea pig and run a dog box in a kind of development role. The box will be supplied by me and would be ready to fit and try to see if any...
So, a mate of mine has a mk2 Clio track car, and he’s considering replacing it for something else.
His budget is £5k. Hit me with your suggestions - but not another Clio! Lol
Go!
It’s not often that I’m left speechless by what I find when I pull a Jc5 apart, but this one left me laughing in disbelief! I’ll let the pics do the rest of the talking.
Ok so brief background - stripped the teeth off 5th gear but still driving as a working box. That collar was holding the...
Sometimes I get interesting stuff to look at, so thought I’d share some pics of what a sadev clicky box looks like on the inside. Diff being stripped for a rebuild here.
Selector worm
5th gear
Enjoy! @Nathan Evans 😎
Well as I’m sure you all know, I rebuild quite a lot of jc5’s, so when I was asked to rebuild a box that had covered 165,000 miles, I was expecting the worst.
Oh how wrong I was!! This gearbox is THE best one I’ve ever seen, and when you consider the mileage, it’s a unicorn! Lol!
Here’s some...
Anyone watched this build series? I found it the other day and I’ve watched them all now.
Doesn’t go on for ages, but covers some really well thought through modifications.
And so, here we have a very interesting little challenge! Spec isn’t going to be disclosed, but I think the picture speaks for itself that it’s a bit different. Cams are a custom one off profile too, of which no one knows the spec! Lol! Knobbly yes, and a bit of measuring and calculations will...
Thought I’d share some pics I got of a F40 that we had in the workshop this week. Was only in for an mot, but had a good nosey around it!
For me, this is the automotive equivalent of the holy grail. All £1.1m quids worth!
Just over 12 months ago myself and @BIGASH went to the Nurburgring with a view to setting a sub 8:15 btg time. What started well, ended with disaster! For those of you that don't know, here's a run down of how that long weekend went.......
Loaded up the cup on James' trailer - 20 miles into...
Morning all,
Just a heads up to say that after much aggro, I've managed to get some improved synchro rings sorted out for the jc5's.
These aren't designed for fast gearchanges - that's just how the box is designed. What these synchro rings are aimed at is giving a significant improvement in...
I was behind you on the way out of Lichfield tonight going through streethay out on to the A38. Had a cs sticker in the back window and a RW Developments sticker on the rear.
Sounded well when you gave it a bootful!
So, with the jc5 suffering from a leaky selector shaft seal, I've been looking very closely at what can be done to stop it and also a reason as to why it leaks.
I'm pretty confident that I've now found out the reason why! It's a box strip to fix it properly though unfortunately.
Here's a...

06 or 08 plate blue 197 with white wheels, grilles, mirrors and cup racer roof vent. Oh and loud exhaust that popped and banged on overrun.......legend.
So much technology crammed into this car!!! 3d printed titanium exhaust tailpipe anyone? Or how about 3d printed turbo housings? Very very impressive!http://youtu.be/6Sivt84RuTkProduction car will have carbon fibre springs!
